ok I just received an email from ideal about their duck sale. I must stay strong! My DH will kill me! Ok I'm walking away from my computer for abit...ducklings are so cute....my queen of the lower pasture(my pekin)would have actual ducks to command instead of the chickens...goodness gracious!
;-)
Help Me! I'm being bitten by the duck fairy!!
You ask for help and then you pass the Duck!! No sympathy from me, they are too cute to resist;-)
Sorry no sympathy here i just agreed to take more silkies ^_^
Ducks are so cute!
Thanks alot y'all!! :-)
Your Welcome ^_^ (pass the duck LOL)
Hmmm...maybe some of my dh's co-workers might want some...heehee!
I cant talk you down! I am considering them too! ;)
Well I am too NOW!!!
I never would have considered them until I saw that picture - THANKS ALOT!! lol
I have about 50 ducks, they are just to cute. i cant wait till they lay eggs and hatch out some babies next spring.
DON'T PASS THE DUCKS!!!! Just tell your DH that you had to have them as they give you the best eggs for omelettes and baking. Just tell your DH that you were thinking of him (lol).
Don't forget about the great meatloaf, too!!lol!
Thanks!!! I must try that. My girls have stopped laying for now though (sigh). I only have the 3 girls and I have so many people that want duck eggs, it's not funny, lol. I have chef at one of the restaurants in Ottawa that keeps asking me for duck eggs. If ducks were less messy I would get alot more of them!!!
If I could think of a way to keep 'em out of DD's pool, I would too.
POOL! thats funny!
Well, maybe not for DD!
:D
Aren't ducks more expensive to keep with the cost of the sailor suits and all?
Sailor suites! That would be sweet!
I would be all over that one. At least the necker chief! Or what ever its called. (thing that goes around neck to look sailor like) Okay, maybe only for photos, could be a choking hazard.
Not if you wash them thrice daily...
Only thrice cousin? Not quintetedly?
Well I wouldn't, but then I'm perhaps less dedicated than some...
I love ducks they are soo cute I would snatch them right up. :]
And isn't that just the thing chickens4ever. They have the cutest feet. And doesn't the 'quack quack' thing just make you all mushy. Even the wild ones do the 'quack quack'. AND they have the cutest little tails and they waggle them when they're all excited. Sigh. I just luv them to bits too.
I love the quack quack noise and what I love most is that they follow you around like your their mom and its just so cute. Me and my mom (Sewincircle) want 1 or 2 ducks really bad but my dad wont let us:[ I said that we should get one and just say its a chicken and he will never notice but she wouldnt do that:[
But why o why doesn't your dad want 1 or 2 ducks chickens4ever? And yupper you have to always all agree when adding to the family so mom is right on about that.
Thanks for having my back Dahlianut.
Meet my daughter...she got sick of just reading. hehehe
Very cool sewincircle! The next generation is jumping in and pushin the evelope. You just gotta be so proud so her.
I am. she is always talkin to her friends on aim. Why not come and hang out with the poultry lovers here. She has been reading everything since I have been here. She loves the pics of the breeds and the fuzzy wuzzy chicky wickys! snap...there goes my mind again.
My dad isnt really a fan of animals.
I am though:] But he said that we
dont need to have every animal
on the face of the earth. Even though
I would like them:] But I was thinking
after my 5 year old hamster dies that
he might cave and say yes:] I hope!
Dominique
And mom you want one just as much as I do
and everytime you see eggs for sale on here
you almost cave everytime! If dad didnt care
you would buy them in a wink! :] and you
know it!
Dominique
Think symbiosis!!(?) They all fit together. It's ecologically sound. Maybe maritally and domestically volatile, but ecologically...
Yes, at times I want to cave, but my DH tends to bend as well with time.
We went from, no way, to him building me a beautiful coop for the chickens, to him having one of his own. We just need time to work him over! hehehe. Patience!
Symbiosis! Yes! I like that! A LOT!
Sewin when i got my first 2 roos and then found 5 hens for them my DH said "I don't want a bunch of chickens" that was seven years ago.
You should see him now talking sweet talk to all the bittys and he loves my bunnys LOL
He even wants to start raiseing turkeys :)
Get out! Turkeys? My DH has mentioned pigs. I would rather do Turkeys!
There is hope yet then...I hope it does not take 7 years but I am patient.
No by my second year i had about 30 and he was over the "don't want a bunch of chickens" Thing.
:D
ha ha ha but its not like we want 30
ducks I would be fine with 1 or 2. It's
really not to much to ask for since they
could go right in the chicken coop and
they would get along with the chickens.
So when my hamster passes then a
week or two later I'm asking my dad:]
Dominique
Help him grow into it slowly, if you're serious (sic Mom on me if you're not). Like adjusting braces, or making bentwood furniture -slooow an' steady, easy as she goes....And don't tell on me for subversion.
Tee hee cousin nut is gonna get in trouble if she's not careful na na na na na na.
{{{she THINKS she's far enough away...}}}
