When's that guy coming back? Weegy? Donna? Have you heard from him? I really miss him.
Where's Mr. Wonderful (JasperDale)?
Yes, we miss you, Mike....what's up?
Yoo-hoo - Miiiiiiiiikkkkkkke - where are you?
I heard (but cannot remember if it was weegy that told me this) that his computer was down.
Bummer, dude!
I miss him so much. He'd be giving all of us a great Christmas gift by returning quickly!
Found him! He'll be back soon.
Thanks for your help, Donna!
Your very welcome Arlene. :-)
Hey Mikey, have your ears been burning? lol
Donna
Hooray! He's coming back soon. It's amazing how the absence of one person can change the whole atmosphere. Things are less silly when JD isn't here, and I need a little silliness to balance out the more somber side of life.
I'm enjoying my morning coffee from a mug he sent:
DRINK COFFEE
Do stupid things faster with more energy
He will never know how much he's been missed.
Santa was a little late but...JD's back in town despite reports that he has left the building.
whew!
Holy Moly !!! SO nice to be missed !!!
I missed everyone and this site enormously !
I'm back now, after spending a fortune on dental work, getting this stupid computer back from my niece, then repaired and (supposedly) "improved" and a host of other issues...namely that blasted FLU...and bills bills bills...
Lots to catch up on here!
Right now, it's 39 degrees here............
Daylight savings starts March 8th.
Thanks for your concern everyone !
Well, we sure have missed you and I think your Fan Club is happy to see you back.......!
Smiles......
YAY----welcome back!!
Welcome back, Mike! Next time consider the computer to the dentist (can improve your byte) and your teeth to the IT guy (problems often caused by cookies)!! Hope 2009 is better for you.
It's cold here, too! Glad to see you posting again.
Yeahhhh, Mikey's back!!
Missed you lots my friend. I hope the holidays were enjoyable for you.
D.
It just wasn't the same without you, JD. Now I can relax and enjoy the site again. Come up north if you have some free time this winter.
Welcome back, Jasper Dale! Boy, do I know dental work and bills this past year. And then there was the rear end collision on the freeway by an uninsured driver last month, which sure didn't help -- the bozo! A 45-something guy on his way to work at 8 a.m. "texting" as he drives down the freeway?! You think he'd know better, wouldn't you? Geez!
Ummm, 39* in Long Beach at 5:30 p.m.?! You CAN'T be serious! Really? Nah! Not really?!?!
Boy, that'd be enuf to keep me under a rock for a byte, er, bit.
Sorry about the accident...it seems that morons don't get any smarter as they get older. There also must be some connection with uninsured and driving ability, 'cause each time we've been hit, it's by an uninsured. Perhaps that's why they have no insurance....had too many accidents and can't get insurance. I'm sure it was really 80 degrees at Mike's in Long Beach, he just says it's so cold so we aren't jealous that he lives only a few blocks from the water.
I WISH it was 80* here !
This thing they call a "beach" here is really no more than a glorified salt water pond. There are no "waves" to speak of...ankle high at best, thanks to the breakwater...but it does get really cold here in the winter this close to the water, especially when there is no air movement.
East coast people won't think the high 30's and low 40's is cold, but I do !
There are monarch butterfly pupae in my garden which I assume are dead, because they turned black a few days ago. The cold air must have killed them. Poor things. I lost count after about 50, of those that did manage to hatch and fly off. A few were deformed looking with undeveloped wings and they perished.
My neighbor got hit a few weeks ago by an uninsured driver. Luckily, the guy had plenty of money in the bank and she was able to collect from him. So why no insurance??? Makes no sense.
My funky little three gallon fountain froze over on the 23rd. Froze the pump as well. Not a fence lizard in sight, either !
The "frozen tundra" here is currently 50 degrees and we'll have two days, with actual sunshine, in the 40's on Monday and Tuesday. That's good enough for cutting back more daylilies and Japanese irises to get a further head start on spring.
Thanks for the March 8th alert, JD!
We've been hit by uninsured drivers, too - I think three times. The last bump was insured, but there was no damage, thank goodness - if you don't count my nerves.
Our overnight low temp was 30 here, but at least it's sunny today. I checked the greenhouse this morning and it was a toasty 60 degrees. The plumeria trees are happy.
I think we're taking the visitors to the Wild Animal Park today and Monday they are off on their own to Disneyland - then home on Tuesday. Whew! It's been great having them here, but it will be nice to get the birds back in their own room and get the house back in order. I think DH is a bit sad already that his son is going home soon, though.
Oh, sad about the Monarchs. I'm not going to look round for them. I hadn't thought of that until you mentioned it...we have had Monarchs around laying their eggs.
For some reason, isolated up here in Central California, I thought you folks seldom saw such temps in the 30's. But of course, if you have citrus fruit you need at least a minimal low temp to sustain new life. What was I thinking?
Oh gee, so sad to lose the Monarch pups? Hmmm, I'm wondering about my Praying Mantis families.
Mike welcome back!! That is sad about the Monarchs. I bet my swallow tails are toast too.
We had a freeze here Thursday through Sunday. My youngest woke up Sunday morning and asked when the snow was going away. He wanted to get out side and play. The snow was the frost on the ground but it did not matter to him he hates cold weather.
Welcome back Mike! Glad that you're back.
