11 inches huh? We may have gotten that much also. Really not sure but I pretty doubtful about that. It started around 2 a.m. and ended around 2 p.m. Well I guess we couldve gotten that much huh? I will have to watch the weather report for sure.
Hello from the U.P.
We got about the same here in the metro area. Almost couldn't get out of the driveway this morning because our city isn't plowing side streets this year.
hmmm thats good ole Macomb County for ya!! keep raising the
taxes and take away all the services...I heard they layed 20 guy's
off who plow the streets.....unbelievable....dig you dig out ok??
I have a 3 foot snow mound project at the foot of my drive way...
Atleast I'm getting exercise...LOL ;o)
We got dug out that time, but here it comes again! We canceled on a family Christmas party today. My brother and wife live in Shelby Twp. on 24 Mile Road near Dequindre. The snow plow has been there. Her car is stuck in the snow at her daughter's house in Macomb, so my brother had to pick her up in his truck. His daughter said sometimes their road (23 Mile Road out past Romeo Plank) doesn't get plowed for a week! At least down here the mile roads and even the half mile roads get plowed. Sheesh! Stay warm everyone!
LOL...that is a good one!! Made my day!
A Big Welcome to you.
I love the UP hubby and I used to meander through it, however we never made it to Iron Mountain. We planned on getting there and also seeing Lake in the clouds. Now that is God's country.
Loved the xmas card, what a hoot

a little late but welcome!!!! i love the U.P. My family used to go up there every year and go camping. We love king lake, van riper state park, kraig lake, canyon falls and so much more. What a beautiful part of our state. I live in NC now but have spent 26 years of my life in MI. Love it!
Hi tkujula!
I have only been to the UP one time on our honeymoon, we went for the day. i saw
takawamenon falls, and a wolf by the side of the road! I saw the southern beach area
and absolutely fell in love with that part of the UP. Its not very far from the bridge, but
it sure was nice enough for us!
Lou (my DH) says it takes forever to drive through the UP. I just can't imagine!
Do you like it there? Listen to me, I am talking like you are in the middle of the
world somewhere! You probably have a Meijer supermarket closer than I do! LOL
Good to have you here
Sher
Hi, and welcome!!!! I love the U.P. as well. My husband and I spent our honeymoon up there at Lake Gogebic. I would like to spend more time up there exploring all the lakes and cities some day. My cousin claims she was driving by a lake in the northern portion of the U.P. and they stopped to sightsee and found hundreds of amythyst crystals on the shores of this lake. Too bad she can't remember the name of the lake. That would be very interesting to see.
