The dna in your body is being broken down,by the foods you eat,and the more your body has to repair
the dna the more and faster your body ages.
To slow this process down and to look and stay younger looking, you need to eat more peanuts, tree nuts, peanut butter, eat more grapes and drink more red wine.
They have been testing this with plants and also mice and they can get these to live 26% longer.
I just heard this on Fox news.
So a spoonful of peanut butter, and a glass of red wine helps the medicine go down!!!!LOL
Look and Stay younger
my kids are eating PB andgrape jelly three times a week! I'll drink the wine for them LOL
I love PB sandwiches! My DB calls it kid food. I don't care.
Wow Don.. I've been snacking on 2 tbsp. peanut butter a day. Being diabetic, not much have little sugar, so that's perfect for me.
So, years from now, my mirror won't have to lie!!!
Just started taking insulin this week, and for some reason my sugar readings are higher than ever,so 20 units a day isn't working, just gave my weeks average to the Dr. this morning waiting to hear back about what the next step is going to be,average sugar count was 334!!!!!
When I take my shot before I go to bed ,I get a hot flush as if I were drinking wine!!!!
That's too high Don.
I'm on 40 units for the maintenance, Lantus while the 'quick' Humalog shots, average 50 units, 3 times a day.
I normally take Lantus before bed, but sometimes, I have to do it in the morning too, when the reading gets too high.
Take care my friend.
I know!!!
They started me on Levemir,my sis is on Lantus.
I don't know if there is a difference or not,but it works for her.
Man you really shoot up a lot!!
What does all that do as far as keeping your sugar levels too!
Warning.. it makes you gain weight too :(
Stay off your simple starches, like potatoes and white rice and white bread.
Hmmm that will be harder than quitting smoking!!!LOL
Well, what do you think of this Asian giving up rice? I 'treat' myself to white rice, only when we're at our favorite Thai restaurant.
Don, just a few tbsps, can spike up my sugar
It may not happen to you, be wise to keep a journal.
Yep been writing it all down, man pasta and potatoes is what I've always ate,my sis still eats them, she says it more of the amount you eat of them, little bit is alright for her,but probably not for me.!!!!!
I guess it's sugar fee for now and ever, instant potatoes don't know if they make fake pasta!!!LOL
Lolol!!! And I can't stand those whole wheat pasta!!
I started taking 3,000 mg's of Fish Oil. Recommended by a doctor friend. He's doing a research paper on it's benefits. It does good things inside your body and also helps your skin.
How long have you been doing so,and have you've noticed a difference in your body?
Only for about 6 weeks. Haven't noticed anything yet. They say Omega 3's are good for the brain. Maybe I'm getting smarter and just don't know it.
Hmmm,if you don't know whether you've gotten smarter or not, then will you ever know the benefits from taking the fish oil???
Helping the skin, you should start looking younger any day now!!!
I'm becoming bald as I get older,if you notice any hair growth please let me know!!!!!
Will let you know. Hopefully if it grows hair, it won't be granny whiskers on my face!
I could give up sugar and other simple sugars if I had to . I gave up smoking a year and a half ago after smoking 60 years (and I'm still just a youngster). Giving up smoking is nothing. Have cravings but also have good sense. After having been on life support for a time there and a "do not resuscitate" order I wouldn't smoke another cig because my life does depend on it.
Ann
Don't be like my SSIL and think "I can have this 15 oz of egg nog w/lots of nog and no one will know." He sure found out who knew first.
Yep giving up smoking 35 yrs was nothing to giving up eating the things that taste good!!!
