the postal outlet had the boys ready and waiting for me on my way home from work Friday night.
We got home and settled in. Had a light supper and a quiet evening, bedtime was a bit early, because we had to be up and about early this morning in time for breakfast.
We had breakfast at the Snow Road Snowmobile Clubhouse. Volunteer members run the fund-raising breakfasts every other Saturday morning, raising the money for the overhead costs of the Clubhouse.
It's the only clubhouse left on the snowmobile trails. It's a place that sledders can come in out of the cold, get warmed up, use the washroom facilities and have access to limited refreshments.
I'll post pics in the next posts, but please bear with me, I'm on dial-up and it takes a LONG time to load a pic.....
........... the lads have landed in Perth
So glad the lads arrived safely. How nice that Bullwinkle met the distant cousin. Breakfast looks pretty good too.
If anyone wants to look back on their most recent experiences in Havelock, they can be found at http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/927841/#new
what a great breakfast, it's sure worth the drive!
Fresh fruit salad, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, baked beans and toast. Tea, coffee and juice.
Bullwinkle enjoyed his fruit salad and toast, while Dave and Ernie feasted on the baked beans.
Here's a pic of the lads in the kitchen with the volunteers!
thanks for putting in the link, I'm pretty much useless at that stuff...
oh, goodness, I forgot to mention Lil's potato doughnuts! They're a must-have with breakfast.
Once we were home again, there were chores to do..... they helped me change the fish water.
They were quite intrigued with the fish, and spent a long time just watching them.

Uh Oh! I see Bullwinkle hasn't changed!
My, it looks as though they arrived in Perth at a good time. Lots of fun things to do. I saw mentioned in today's paper a sale taking place next week in Perth that sounded almost good enough to lure me from the city.
LOL..love the shot of the Lads fishing! Very nice photos, drivenbonkers. Perth looks like a pretty town with lots of history. I did know that Ian Millar, Olympic equestrian gold-medalist is from Perth. Can't wait for more of the tour.
Don, I did try to explain ice fishing to Ernie......
I think we will take a walk around Perth tomorrow morning, and play outside in the yard. Today we were a little pressed for time. I do want to get over and show the boys the statue of Big Ben and Ian Millar and the Stewart Park.
Tomorrow is the Vegetarian Food Fair at the Lions Hall, and the Holiday Craft Sale at the Civitan Club, and the Perth Performing Arts Committee is presenting 'The Nutcracker'
Next Saturday is the Nick of Time Artisan Show at McMartin House
and the weekend following that is Barn Door Productions (Perth) presentation of A Christmas Carol.
I think I hear moose snores coming from the bedroom.
I'm starting to regret feeding the gnomes baked beans for breakfast, they're blaming a lot of unusual noises on the dogs.
LOL ^_^
hahaha poor dogs - getting blamed for every noise LOL
Oh what a great time the lads are having! I'm glad I warned you about them being a handful. I can see that they are keeping you busy ^_^
I had no idea that Perth has so much to offer. I guess I've been living under a rock in little ole Havelock. Crack a window in that room if there are any more baked beans on the menu.
Great pics. I am really enjoying watching their travels and their antics.
Have fun but words of wisdom................keep a close eye on that Bullwinkle. I think he might have a touch of ADHD but it makes him that much more enjoyable albeit tiring.
Hugs from Havelock
Elaine and Otis
ROFLMBO @ the lads fishing!! .... and how they blended right in under the Christmas tree.
I love Perth. It's so vibrant - but I don't get there as often as I'd like too.
Really looking forward to pics of their town walk.
Sandy
Is Ben still alive?
the original 'front' door to the Codes Mill factory building. This entrance leads to the second floor offices.
at one time, the Mill produced wool felt. Production shut down quite a while ago, and the building stood empty for years.
It was renovated and now houses a banquet facility, a fine dining restaurant, a coffee shop and other retail stores and office space.
The interior of the building is absolutely beautiful, with stone floors and large timber frame walls.
Ben runs now in greener pastures....
The Statue and Plaque is a wonderful tribute to a man and a horse that was greatest team in equestrian history.
Looks like they had fun and it also looks like Elaine's winter gear for them is being well used.
Must go look at a map to see where Perth, Ont. is.
Saw the title of this thread and thought to myself, what the heck are the boys doing in Australia. LOL. So much for my knowledge of Canuck geography.
Great pictures - looks like the boys are having a grand time.
Joanne
Great pics Sue!
The fellas are sure getting the grand tour. Sounds like they are having a great time too.
Can't wait to see more.
Their tour sure has shown me some wonderful places that I need to see for myself.
Don't feel bad Joanne. Geography was never my strong subject in school. Of course, if I had of been older, I would have paid more attention. Boys were more interesting at that time in my life ^-^. What was I thinking?
Hugs
Elaine and Otis
Aren't they cute in their winter outfits. Wow, look at your kale .... yum! Interesting stats on Big Ben, too.
Sue, have you tried out the restaurant in the new Inn yet?
Sandy
no, have not been inside the new inn yet..... we have another favourite restaurant in town ;)
Sue - What are the lads up to now? Are they patiently waiting for your work-week to end before they get busy in front of the camera again?
Can't wait to see more of their antics. I was thinking that the gnomes are having such a great adventure; maybe I can send myself from place to place and enjoy some of the fun they are having. Do you think Canada Post would object to a really, really big box(I would be in it) being shipped across the country?
Hey. A gal can dream.
Hugs Elaine and Otis
Holy Cow .. how did I MISS this forum !!
Awesome photos db .. and the lads look quite relaxed and rarin to go .. must be good batteries :-)

sorry no pics from this weekend's adventures.... the weekend stunk... literally.......
I was under the impression that skunks hibernate for the winter.
My dogs managed to find a very-much-awake and fully functioning skunk..... at 4 am..... Saturday morning..... fortunately it was NOT a 'full frontal' attack.
F. Lucky is a bit smarter today, having learned to stay away from the stripey-cat.....deskunking continues....
it was a weekend of heavy lifting (moving fridges and couches for family members) The boys elected to stay at home and play Wii rockband..... I fear for my wooden spoons and pots....
I did hear that there is a family reunion planned.... 3rd or 4th cousin on Bullwinkle's side.... we shall see
OH DAWG DB .. I feel for you re the skunk christening .. betcha most of us have 'been there, done that' .. some of us (me included) have been blessed MORE than once !!! GAG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoying the pics immensley, as always :-)
