I've noticied that butterfly on the indoor wall in the south in October, 2008. It was probably attracted by the lamp's light in the evening.
Please, assist with the identification.
CLOSED: The not so colorful butterfly.
It's a moth, first thought's were a Yellow Wave, here's a pic of a Small Yellow Wave. I can't be certain though as the details can't be seen well, and there are very many moths which look like each other so it can be confusing. Perhaps this one is best kept in you records as a 'possible'. I can see next year you will doing what I did this year, lol, standing outside for hours with lights on waiting for them to arrive! Late July is a good time...:)

Wallaby, I agree, the Small Yellow Wave looks closest of all.
