I would like to hear of miracles you've experienced orheard about.I think it would be very uplifting.I've had a few in my life: I will start by acknowledging that the birth of my son was way beyond tipical.I was 33when he was extractedfrom me he was 61/2 weeks early but he weighed 5lbs,5ozs. he was healthy. I was concerned about birth defects because I couldn,t stop medication.I had also had hip replacement surgery x2, 7 years earlier.Going back a little earlier I came close to death's door and over came aplastic anemia .For about a year I had packed cell transfusions. Very risky even to this day. There is still no cure.My case is written up in the medical journal. My dr. recieved a lot of notoriety about MY case!So you know why I believe in miracles :) Now let's hear yours!
miracles
On September 14, 1996, (5 year anniversary coming up), I was in a near fatal car accident. I suffered major head injuries to the right side of my head. I doctored for over two years at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN, had many many surgeries, and came out of it in a livable state. The doctors that got me in ER that day later told me that they had never seen anyone with injuries to the extent I had come in there alive. I definitely had a guardian angel that evening.
Then, just this past Monday, Labor Day, I got the phone call every mother dreads. My 19 year old daughter had rolled her car, but thankfully, not hurt badly. This was the day she was also to leave for college, so we had a very long day of dealing with law enforcement and trying to figure out how to get her off to college somewhere around 300 miles away, but we were thankful to be able to deal with that instead of having to deal with a much worse scenario. She had a guardian angel with her that morning.
When this same daughter was 2 years old, she got ahold of some canning jars and broke one, and when it shattered, it cut the artery in her wrist. When I heard her screaming, I went running, grabbed her and wrapped a towel around her wrist. The blood was pumping out to the beat of her heart. I also had a baby at the time. I asked her if she could hold it real tight for a second so I could call Dad. She did, he came home and we loaded up and drove 25 miles to the hospital. She had a guardian angel that time also.
Two springs ago, my 13 year old son almost drowned in the river by his Dad's place. The river was high and running hard. He was at his Dad's and his Dad had him ride horseback across the river. The horse got spooked and he fell off with his foot stuck in the stirrup. The horse was fighting to regain his footing and kicked him in the head. He didn't go unconcious, thank goodness. When he freed himself from the horse, he floated on his back until he reached close to shore and got out. Then he walked over a mile to catch his horse again and rode to the neighbors for help. When the neighbor opened the door, he just grabbed him and marched him right back to the bathroom, stripped his clothes off and threw him in a hot shower. He said he was almost in shock already and turning blue. The neighbors good thinking probably saved him from actually going into shock or hypothermia. He had a guardian angel with him that day.
I think we are working our guardian angels overtime, but we really do appreciate them, and thank them everyday for their faithful presence in our lives.

Hi, joanJ I don't know if you happened to see my prayer request on coco's thread . but my son was in a head on,june 18 he was broken and bruised badly several angels had to be with him that day I't is remarkable how well he is doing.he had compound fractures of his left arm and leg. because to prevent infection they chose to plate him up so now he is barely limping and making progress with the nerve damage to his arm, luckily he is right handed. this was not his first miracle but I'll give others a chance.
Happy you are here herblady, I'll get around to your page or see you on the threads. I' m really slow because of lifetime of arthritis. but I keep going, going, going:)
When my twin brother and I were 16, and our older brother 20, we were involved in a car accident - hit head-on by a drunk driver. My older brother was killed, ejected from the car. I had been riding shotgun, and was ejected as well. I ended up in a ditch several yards away. I sustained just as much physical damage as Darr (brother), and yet I lived. I firmly believe my brother chose to take my place that night, and I thank him every day for it.
My other miracle I will post a picture of very soon. : )
I had been told by nearly every doctor in NY that it would be very doubtful that I could ever have children, due to the hands of an exboyfriend (now serving 7 to 10). A few years ago my first 'true love' called me up out of nowhere and we began seeing each other again. When things got serious, I told him about what my doctors had said, and he said he didn't care, that we'd find a way to have a family somehow.
And nine months(and two agonizing overdue weeks) from that day, the midwife placed our son in my arms for the first time.
This is one of those 'huggy' threads...where the posts make you want to hug someone....they seem to pop up all over the garden here : )
I believe that the greatest miracle of all was the birth of my 3 daughters. Even tho I have lost one when she was only 15 months old, I still feel she was a great miracle but feel that the Good Lord had a great need for her. I still miss her and still very difficult to talk about so never bring it up. I still have 2 wonderful daughters and 5 grand children that I am very proud of.
Another great miracle is my DH, for without him, I just don't know where I would be. He is truely the love of my life for 33 years now.
Last but not least, is me finding Dave's Garden when I was in a pretty low spot in my life and have found many great friends here. I feel that the Good Lord had guided me here to meet All the great people here at Dave's. For all of you are angels in my book. Blessing to each and everyone of you.
All My Best
CoCo
Thank you all for your posts. Especially Tink for starting it. I'm so glad your son and my daughter are going to be alright after their car accidents. They both had guardian angels with them.
Coco, Karma, Bucky....bless you for all you have gone through, and thank you so much for sharing.
Nana! You know I love ya Girlfriend! Hang in there, you can handle whatever you have to in order to get better. I'm pulling for you every hour of every day.
This past week has been one of the most trying in my life, and it just seems to not end. Plus, today we found out our dear cat of 10 years has epilepsy and will have to have medication twice a day for the rest of his life, and we can't miss a dose as that's like throwing him into a seisure. So, that means if DH and I want to go on a romantic weekend, the cat goes too! LOL But, that won't be such a change because he sleeps with us anyway! LOL! DH said today on the way home from the vet, "I guess we better go shopping for a pet carrier, and start taking him on little trips to the dairy queen for ice cream so he doesn't associate all trips with ending at the vet!" This man has been the most blessed miracle in my life.
We can deal with whatever comes our way, because we just don't have a choice, so we have to make the best of it and look for the good in it. Although it may take a long while for us to get to that point, we all end up there eventually.
Joan (who's glad she found all her wonderful friends on DG, and who's glad that she discovered gardening so she can dig dirt and throw it when she feels the need and nobody knows she had a tantrum as long as she puts the dirt back in the garden when she's done. LOL)
P.S. This thread has been good therapy for me this week when I thought I couldn't take anymore. Bless you all!
Pray for Miracles every day. Our fate and the fate of our children are depending on them.
"eyes"
I have so many miracles in my life that it is hard to pick just one. My only son died in the bed beside me when he was four months and four days old and I almost lost my mind. A year later my daughter was born, everything in the world seem to go wrong with her health from the time she was seven months old until this day. She had bleeding ulcers in her nose so I had to watch her while she was sleeping to keep her from drowning in her own blood.
I had to rush my baby to the hospital with phenomena and a fever of 104, at seven moths old that was not good. When the doctor came out to talk to me they said that she was clinicly dead for five minutes but they were able to revive her but didn't expect her to live through the night. I just looked up and said Lord if you take her please take me to, you said you wouldn't put anymore on us than we can bare and I can't bare this. I feel asleep beside my daughter and when I woke up she was still alive. I might add that she is still alive and kicking and has made me the proud du-wanny of six grand kids in which four are boys. Her first son was born on my sons birthday exactly twenty years later, same month, and the same day. Tommy(my son) was born 1/21/67 and David my oldest grandson was born 1/21/87 now is that a miracle. I thank God for all of his many blessings.
THANK YOU SWEET JESUS FOR THE MIRACLES THAT ARE OCCURING AS WE PRAY FOR THE HEALING OF AMERICA, GOD BLESS US ONE AND ALL!
(((((windsurffer))))) thank you for sharing.
Howdy starzz I'm from texas just a little south of Dallas. I really don't know how I'm able to do what I do. Of course theres those I conive to do some things impossible for me.
For instance, my hubby has built me raised beds that I can reach from my chair. I've had a lot of bruises ,ant stings, showers(losing control of the hose) :(I guess it's just a strong will that keeps me going. Thanks for the interest! (tink) aka:peggie
