Alternate Lodi Lauch set for Thanksgiving Day!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I have seeds that a lot of people like.. Corkscrew vine? The real ones.. :)

Lodi, United States

NPCG reporting second breach in the shell event horizon.

The Lodi Launch Team has been occupied in a rooster relocation exercise. It involved repeated inversion of immature module escapees and close observation of appendage extension and plumage differentiation. A new pamphlet will be forthcoming detailing the results and all hatch Commanders will be tested on its contents.

Over.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh yeah Oh yeah.. flap flap flap La La La flap flap

Thank you Hatch Queen.. I mean Commander Catscan!

Lodi, United States

Third pip. Holding steady.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Commander ZZ. I think you just pushed the envelope on respect for your fellow co-commander! Her detailed and insightful report of the rooster relocation exercise cannot be referred to as "flap flap flap la la la flap flap flap." I think you should do some coffee ups and think about what you said!

Commander Catscan - we look forward to the pamphlet, which will no doubt be penned by your always erudite hand. Would you like the spelling police to proofread it?

Fourth pip yet, commanders? Oh, and please advise on alignment of hatching modules - are they on a vertical plane or a horizontal plane?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Begging your pardon... That was a happy chicken dance for the second pip Ma'am

Am commencing coffee ups

Happy Thanksgiving

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Happy Thanksgiving Doing a sleepy happy chicken dance and the coffee ups did not help

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Ah, now I see the flap flap was a dance and not a reference to Commander Catscan's flapping mouth. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am already busy in the kitchen. Have done a lot of coffee ups so far, and fed chickens, sheep and goats.

Wren, recommend addition of Bailey's liquid refreshment to coffee for that certain extra kick. ;-)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Mother Bird reporting with a smile..

Submitting a visual on the alignment of the modules. Delawares pip correct, unlike Aracauna/Ameracauna?

Sorry to report inability to visualize first pip.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Very good, very good. I see the module alignment is on a slight variation from vertical, excellent positioning. Well done. Carry on.

Delawares have been advised to pip correctly, although sometimes the distribution of the memo regarding where to pip is disrupted. Something to do with transmitting the memo through the eggshell. Can't see why this should pose any problem, but I've been told it does.

Southern hemisphere ground control has been absent for weeks. Most disturbing. Good thing that we still have Midwest, Pacific, and Southern ground controls to keep the hatching mission on schedule.

Furthermore, Commander Moxon hereby announces that tomorrow is the estimated launch date for hatching mission "Andalusia" and a thread will be started all in good time.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

This is part of the relocation exercise... Admittedly, these will not go on to new relocation area.. Mother bird cannot and will not let go..

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Okay... I guess I can hijack my own thread right? LOL

Here are a few of my "teens" They are a little over 3 months old..

Commander ZZ has shown a certain reluctance to part with what are suspected to be male NN escapees. Admittedly they are exceptionally cute and sweet tempered--but protocol established by reactionary regional government requires that she restrain herself to 1 (ha! ha! ha!) rooster at her base. Perhaps she can pass the NNs off as turkeys and thus circumvent said restriction?

NPGC remote viewing reports 4 pips with peepage. No zipping. Will return to viewing while preparing traditional Poultry Day repast.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Peeeeeepage? Oh yeah! flap flap flap.. Not the mouth.. the wings.. and believe me, I've got em.. flaps I mean.. LOL

Yes, the reluctance is absolutely certain. I think I may have hijacked a pullet... but I'll never tell.. you can't make me.. I won't... I wont.. I must have put a "sleeper hold" on her so she would flip like a pullet. That lil neck is so tempting to grasp...

Have I told anyone how much I love naked necks??????

Lodi, United States

WE HAVE ZIPPING! Repeat. Zipping has been observed.

Stand by for report on module evacuation.

Fifth pip started.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Zipping !!!!!! I am thrilled..

Lodi, United States

Mayday! Mayday!

A Delaware has escaped! A Delaware has escaped! Man the watch towers!

Be on the lookout for a small incredibly cute blond escapee. See picture below, taken by a surveillance camera moments before the breakout..

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Gotta get a color code for names.. I'm getting confused.. but that lil blonde can be called Stuffin...

Sugar Valley, GA(Zone 7b)

CAT!!!! Be Prepared!! I see Pippage the left next to the escapee!!!!

Lodi, United States

Thank you, General. We will re-deploy our third strike force to surround and contain the miscreant when it emerges.

Lodi, United States

I swear I was not out of sight of the modules for more than a few minutes--when they made a mass escape. You can see that their hatch modules have been discarded and they are dressed in camo--I suspect that three are loose in the hatcher--but where? Where?

Thumbnail by Catscan
Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Everybody put on your super-decoder glasses! We must find the escapees! Somebody sound the alarm! Call in a SQUAWK team!! Surround the launch site! No egg left unturned!

super decoder glasses are on
I m on the look out

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Did two babiez come out of one egg? LOL

Hmm weirder things have happened

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

GASP! Is Commander Catscan doctoring the photos?

it looks like the egg in the back may have just closed back ? so it looks like it didn't hatch yet ? the one far left next to chick on the corner. ?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I think she might be trying to smuggle in Faverolle roos.. LOL

SECURITY !!!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Hummm now she doesn't respond? I'm worried..

But what about the baby?

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Did anyone notice the mysterious object that is staged to look like a purple sponge? I have not seen sponges available in this color. HIGHLY aberrant sponge. I believe this to be a transponder device. She is beaming additional life forms into the emergence unit. Serious breach of protocol. Stop her at once!!!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Scotty.. beam me up..

Lodi, United States

RED ALERT! RED ALERT! Fourth security breach has occurred---escapee is attempting to avoid facial scan by hiding in corner. Fifth module breach started in center back row.

NPGC emergency dispatch: We are being overrun. Send reinforcements! Rampaging Delaware hordes have over topped the hatcher and are.......Arghhhh!

Thumbnail by Catscan
Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh dear, the sponge/transponder may have malfunctioned! Perhaps more alien life forms are arriving than were expected! Send surveillance into Lodi! STAT!!
