Jane! WOW!!! I have wanted to see a Vermillion Flycatcher for a long time. That's a gorgeous picture of one! I also just love the Sandhill Cranes in that gorgeous grass. Beautiful.
Nanny, now you have me counting my birds! Hope our 100th is a real treat!

This Ruby-Crowned Kinglet landed above me and let me take pics with the flash during this very cloudy day. It's still warm and muggy though with lots of mosquitoes who were biting my hands and face as I took this!

I got some more ducks on the ID forum so maybe 100 is sitting over there!! lol
I won't be doing this again, that's for sure. I should have known better...

Hawk flying around. I checked out my ID book and it looks like an Immature Red-Tailed Hawk, but I will be surprised if I am right.

I ran outside a little while ago because of the racket. There were fireworks going off, sirens sounding and all the church bells were ringing. People were singing and dancing in the street. Police were out in force trying to control the frenzied crowd. I wondered what on earth was causing this commotion and with great difficulty was finally able to stop one crazed, glassy eyed individual long enough to find out - NANNY'S MADE A HUNDRED!!

First Sharp-shinned Hawk I've seen around this Fall. Check out the red eyes.
