Hello

Coushatta, LA

How is every one doing good i hope. How is every one brugs doing this time of year.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I've only grown brugs once and didn't bring them in before we got a freeze. My bad...I am not a good mommy to most tropicals up here in zone 5. ;) How are yours doing?

Louisiana is so pretty. We stayed with DG member Justmelisa and her family for 10 days over Thanksgiving in 2002 when they lived down in Thibodaux, near Houma. They've since moved to Kentucky and we see them when we go to the Kentucky Roundup each September.

It was such a different world in Louisiana from what we're used to up here, so lush and green, alive. It tickled me to see flocked Christmas trees and palm trees standing side by side in a yard. :D I went back down by myself the next year and spent time with Lisa's family; we camped on Grand Isle and just visited. It was such a nice laid-back trip.

I have great memories from those visits. Louisianans are some of the most friendly people!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I've never grown brugs, but I plan on starting sometime here in the near future!

I'm used to Central California weather, which mirrors the weather here, it's just a little colder here in the winter (same temp but no wind chill factor in Central CA) and feels about the same in the summer. Just not near as many thunderstorms and bad weather, no ice or snow in Central CA, just flat, dead, what not.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Comment Ca Va, Rose Girl.
This time of the year, all my brugs, except for Wretched Mess and Serendipity are cut down.
I used to live in Breaux Bridge.. Crawfish Capital of the World. For more than 20 years.. been missing good boudin, cracklins and of course basin crawfish.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
