Dankjewel, WNYwillieB!!
Ken
WYN, sounds like a radio station that my friend Jay Diamond used to be one, several years back!!
Celery Shortage??
He has a show in Boston now.
Hi Victor,
I still haven't figured out what to plant in my townhouse. I put in a bunch of bulbs, but think they died already. How have you been.
Ken
Hi Ken,
I am well - thanks. You have the winter to plan!
Pirl,
He does? I emailed him about 2 weeks ago and he called me from his NY address. We plan on meeting for dinner. He didn't mention Boston,. but did several Al Sharpton impersoations, plus a good John McCain!
Ken
I really like Dutch for some reason ....
You would no doubt spit trying to pronounce their Gs, Victor.
I hack up a furball every time! Between the goodes and the grachts I just about give up!

Ken, sounds like you had a fun trip. I have an uncle on my Dad's side in Germany whom I've never been to visit. I also have a friend in Arizona who is from there. I would love to visit someday. There's lots of places I would love to visit someday.
Karen
Hey! I'm eating fresh celery (from the grocery) right now.
I just bought another 3 pack of celery at Sam's Club last night in Nazereth, PA. I try to use it to lose weight.
Ken
But you can't crunch H2O.
Ice?
Yes, I try to drink 2 liters of H2O every day!
Jello Shots!! My DS turned 21, went to a party where they had every color of the rainbow and he had to try them ALL! Very sick boy that night and all the next day. Mean old Mother made JELLO for desert the next weekend just for a reminder before he went out for the night. lol
Beautiful! One of my brothers used to imbibe a little too much when he was in high school. My father would wake him the next morning with a breakfast of runny, sunny-side -up eggs, greasy bacon and heavily buttered toast. And then stand there to watch him eat it. I was a goody two shoes back in those days and was never subjected to this punishment!
Never tried Jello shots, but have made the Champagne Jello, which is very good.
Too funny, Celeste, on making a jello reminder.
He didn't eat any! lol
Hi Nutsfordaylily (karen)
I get over to Germany quite a bit. I fly into Hahn, Germany on Friday, which is near Frankfurt. It's cold now, but still fun to look at the architecture and surrounding countryside. I just stay there about 2 hours and then fly to Dubai. I then fly a plane to Dusseldorf on Sunday, and then take a limo to Frankfurt (downtown) and stay 78 hours at the Intercontinental Hotel on the river. Nice place and good location. I have been fortunate to go to many places over the years and appreciate what I was able to see. I hope you get a chance to get over there someday, especially during the warmer seasons. Trip in boats along the rivers is nice to do, through the wine regions.
Ken
That's a great experience, Ken. Tough to be traveling all the time (not for me), but it's wonderful to see the world. Please share more photos of the countries you visit!
Hi Victor!
Thanks for the email. Here's another one, also taken in the same place the previous 2 were taken - Beijing, during the Olympics. I went over on my own and spent about 9 days there. Great experience and was able to attend about 8 events, inclusing the one (above) where Phelps received his 6th Gold Medal, very exciting to be there.
Ken
Mao's tomb, The National Museum, Entrace to the Forbidden City are located at Tiananmen Square which is the size of 900 football fields. Evrything over in Beijing is super sized. Very friendly people, even the marching army, security and police. Just don't create a scene. They (security) let their presence be know at all times, and above photo shows just 2 of the thousands of video camera that were all over the city.
Wow - great shots, Ken. Thank you. Love the designs of those stadiums. Must have been a wonderful experience.
Ken, thanks for sharing your travels and experiences with us. What an interesting world! Now we will get to expand our horizons with you as our guide.
Does Meridith Viera 's husband know your flirtin?
I honestly thought the subject of this thread and opening quiery was a come on joke, thats why I took the pic in Wegmans.
You sure live a whirlwind life Ken.
Keep us upto date. Do you have a garden?
Ah, somebody noticed the woman with her arms around my neck! Good eye GE1836! I don't know if Meridith's husband knows, but it was followed by a nice kiss, and some people around commented that I must know her personally. I have to get over to NYC and have her sign my pics.
I travel a max of 17 days a month and like to do it all together, so I have 13/14 days off in a row. I plan on carrying a camera on next trip and post some pics. I go eastbound now, non-stop to DUbai from JFK, then operate westbound thru Frankfurt, then to Chicago, heading westbound to Honolulu, then to Anchorage and finally on the 14th to JFK.
By the way, I saw celery in the stop & Shop today.
By the way.............Giant Market got in a fresh new lot of celery today. That and left over turkey made celery soup fit for a king.
