Hello,
I am hoping you can help me with my curry leaf plant that is rapidly losing leaves. We live in San Francisco, we have had our curry leaf plant for about 9 months, it is about 6 feet tall, it adjusted to indoor life very well. Recently, starting about 2 weeks ago, it appeared to have a minor infestation of scale, we treated that a couple times with a insecticidal soap by Safer, currently we find an occasional scale, but otherwise it's under control. The problem now is that many of the dropping leaves have blackened tips. We are very worried about the health of our beloved curry leaf plant. Do you have any suggestions as to a treatment for the blackened leaves and this excessive dropping off of leaves?
Thank you for any time you can spare to share your thoughts!

Can you post a picture? Blackened leaves can often mean a fungus which would frequently be from too much water, and too much water can cause leaves to fall off too. The other possibility with the leaves falling is that it's leftover damage from the scale, but I would think they would just fall off then and you wouldn't see the blackened tips.
Please do post a photo of the plant, especially the leaves with blackened tips.
That does almost sound like a fungus. Do you have a moisture meter to test the soil moisture?
Has anything changed in the indoor conditions? Are you using the heat more/less? Is it getting enough light this time of year?
I have one curry plant in the house, and one in the garden. Overall I find them to be very hardy plants, although I will wrap the outdoor curry plant and the amalaki bush with frost blankets for the winter.
