I decieded to plant mg's every where, this one is sharing the trillis with a wisteria. I loved the verigated leaves. The stalk of this mg was very thick and strong, unlike my grandpa otts. Rose
MG's after wisteria
Hi Rose - The MG bloom that you posted here
http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/wizz47_1226795707_168.jpg
looks to be an Ipomoea nil and seems like it may have been taken as the bloom color is fading...do you have any photos of this particular vine showing the blooms earlier in the day (?)

Rose, is there any chance your MG could be from the Velvet Plum I sent you (parent seeds from EmmaGrace)? I have been so curious what the next generation would look like from those growing out my seeds.
I know Velvet Plum is much darker, but wouldn't it be something to obtain a lighter version of it?
Karen
Sorry I've been so busy, I haven't had time to enjoy DG or read the threads. I will try to go through my pix and see if I can find closer views. Karen, I do believe these are the ones you sent me,I purchased many online, and many from fellow Dg'ers. I had MG overload, they were all so aboslutly beautiful!!!!! Rose
Ok, I planted 2 differant MG's on the same side of the wisteria,
Rose I know what you mean by MG overload, I did the same thing last year.. had mgs vines slapping me in the face even as I went out my back door.. your vines are awsome and the blooms are beautiful! Debra
Rose - Your blooms are beautiful. They remind me a little of Plum Shadows that Emma shared with me a couple years ago. :-)
love the pictures... the leaves are beautiful...
