I planted a few seeds to grow amongst my trumpets.

I love how this looks! Glad to see all the seeds you got from folks here turned into some beautiful vines! You did a great job growing them in this photo and the other two threads you started! Thanks for sharing the photos! Very, very nice!!!

The strategic combination of different types of plants having particular shapes and colors can sometimes yield very striking effects...

I used to grow some daturas and brugs in my early teens, but have always found more satisfaction in the higher overall activity rate and resulting mental stimulation of the Morning Glories which I prefer over the poised 'statuesque' look of the larger blooms of the daturas and brugs...as it's not just a static visual aesthetic 'thing' for me since I find thinking ala thought provoking plants to be fun, I still prefer the Morning Glories...so,there are a wide range of different plants for different tastes...

Previous post mentioning some aspects as to why I prefer Morning Glories http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=3324272

The combinations of different plants that compliment each other in different ways is certainly an area to be explored further...

Thanks for sharing (!)

I thought I might try corn this year as a support for my MGs, even a triple combination of corn, tomato and MG might work...

PS. Morning glories are indeed very inspiring plants and good for experimenting because in ideal climatic conditions one can have up to 3 generations, the convulvacea here in Morocco seem to grow all year round...One generation followed by the next.

PPS. We've found a new place with a small garden [with lemon tree] and two balconies, so I am looking forward to a new summer of MG excitement.

Yes Becky, thanks to everyone who shared seeds with me, I will have some to trade to help others that enjoy mgs and trumpets also :0) Rose

gofast: I had corn mixed with tomatoes, peppers, okra and marigolds, and the mgs took over the corn stalks, which was fine, since the corn had been picked.. worked really well for me.. the "three sisters" technique is always a winner,
tall, medium, ground, and I mix in some mgs and 4 o'clocks in the vege garden to give added support.. you will have great luck with the mgs and the vege garden!
