CLOSED: My avocado tree has acne.

San Andres, Peten, Guatemala

A group of leaves on one of my Avocado has developed bumps, about 50 +. They are not unatractive but a bit of a surprise. The bumps are a quarter of an inch high, apparently with an entrance hole at the back. Cutting one open it is hollow but empty.
Does anybody have any idea?

I followed the link to http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.biocontrol.ucr.edu/Trioza/Trioza%2520Nymph%2520Exuviae%2520on%2520Hass%2520Avocado%2520Leaf-1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.biocontrol.ucr.edu/Trioza/Trioza.html&h=1233&w=1248&sz=142&hl=en&start=1&usg=__xy0PRXOazWwUaMfV2V4dwJNoR2A=&tbnid=XRrlOUExj-R39M:&tbnh=148&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3Davacado%2Bleaf%2Bgall%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG.

That was fascinanting reading. So a tiny little 3mm flying insect starts the trouble and then the nymphs when they hatch cause the gall.
The one we have doesn't appear to cause any real damage but maybe one of the others if it gets into California could. Fingers crossed.
Trioza anceps tuthill found in Guatemala and Mexico

Many thanks for the help.
