CLOSED: Fall Frenzy Piggy Swap

North West, OH(Zone 5b)

Pfft Caren you haven't begun to see meaning of Piggy. This is only opening day and the ball hasn't even been tossed into the field yet. LOL. I have you down for the gaillardia and one pack each of the zinnias. (Gang I have zinnia seeds coming out my ears with the exception of the profusion apricot and the Uproar Rose. If you want either of those you might want to speak up fairly soon.)

Starlight I have you down for the petunias and I've marked Pulltab for " Blanket Flower, any zinnias, any echies or rudbeckias"

Mao did you get my request for Echinacea Merlot, Limelight 4'oclocks, and Gaillardia Tojaker? Please and thank you. :-)

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Thanks LaLa. A few Zinnas for me, any kind will do

Does anybody have any Dahlia seed.

Mygypsy would like some of your Hibiscus Luna Pink.

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Mao -

I'd like some Echinacea Merlot too if there are enough... and also the Summer.

Yvonne's Giant Salvia
Joe Pye

thanks -- Terese

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Someone please tell me how many seeds to put in a pack, so I can figure out how many to list of each.

Also,
tcs1366 - I'd like some of your gaillardia aristata if any left.

Lala_Jane, I'd like some of your echinacea sundown too.

Am I a piggy yet?
Thanks.

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

With seeds i have a lot of... i dont count... i pour into a baggie. [well those lil 2x3 craft zip loc bags]

something like 4-O'clocks ... 10 or so ... again, if you have a lot, dump;em in.

for my Flax seeds, which were very small, and i didnt have a lot, i counted 60 into a bag... i probably could have gone with 30 or so.

I think it really depends in teh seed too.

Marigolds, i'm going to do "a pinch" -- what i can pinch between 2 fingers, goes in the bag.

some have said... 50 seeds ... but say you have poppies... do you really want to count 50 grains of sand? LOL.

I honestly only count if i do not have an abundance of seeds.

hope this helps a lil bit.

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks tcs, that does help to give me a better idea. (Would you answer my question about the gaillardia aristata too?)
Thanks again.
Sharon

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL.i've got A LOT. so yup ... got your name on one.

Edmond, OK(Zone 7a)

tcs - do you have the French Marigold variety of 'Hero Spry' or 'Harmony'?

Orrville, OH(Zone 5b)

Lala and tcs- I've saved your seeds

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks tcs!

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Chele -- i honestly do not know.

I have A LOT of marigold seeds.

I did google those two names, so i have a general idea what you are looking for... i'd probably say No to the Hero Spry

My neighbor came over with a bag full of these.... two paper plates PLUS.

they were a gorgeous Orange with a Burgundy on the outside -- they were the short, compact plant that she used as a border in her front flower bed.

this one fits closely to the Harmony though... but they could have gotten "crossed" .. i have no idea if they would come true or not.
