Hunky Salmon FaveRoo Chat #8

Clarkson, KY

Great place for spiked cranberry recipes. Gossip. Totally unrelated stuff. Hijacking.
What say we each rescue one bizarre creature and send the poor thing to Moxy's Acres for love and rehab this Holiday Season!!!

Can I send me??????

Clarkson, KY

Knowing Moxy? Chances are good...extremely good.

Can anyone tell me how to get that stupid copyright off?? It's not even my pic! (stupid because it outsmarted me...)

(Zone 7b)

You go to your preferences and look to where it says copyright and simplely mark the no copyright and repost the pic.

(Zone 7b)

Okay open forum i want to ask about gardens and what kind of plants/flowers people like?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Thats easy I like all flowers but my favorite ones are the Passion vines, the salvias and specially the the Epiphyllums I only have over 200 of the.

(Zone 7b)

Wren i will be ordering some dutchmans pipe seeds and passion vine soon.
I already have ordered coral vine, angel trumpet seeds and cherokee indian bead corn seed it grows with a hole in it.
I hope to really stock up on seeds so when spring comes i can do my favorite thing garden ;)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

That cherokee indian bead corn sounds interesting. I have the coral vine-watch it, it will send underground runners just like the passion vines.

I have nearly gotten my green/shade house finished. Just need the plastic and the shade cloth and finish putting the epi back in it.

(Zone 7b)

I can't wait till spring so the vines throw out underground roots what can i do about that??

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Dig them up, weedwack them, or grow them in large pots. Some of them only do a little of it but the best BF passion vine "passiaflora incarnata" is very bad about it and is also a very fast grower best keep in a pot. Passion flower vines seeds are a little slow to grown some more so than others. Soak the seeds in orange juice for a day or two.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

grow, very pretty roo. but why won't the picture blow up?

Clarkson, KY

I'm computerally challenged, I guess...somehow my preference settings got all changed around without my having figured out where they even WERE....gahh!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

don't feel bad. i can't use a computer to well either

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Count me in. I know less about the computer than a 3 year old.
You should hear me on the phone to a computer service person. Most are in India. And when I get upset my Southern accent gets thick. So there is a big communication gap and add my computer illegitimacy in . Even when I understand what they are saying I do not understand what they are saying!!!!!LOL

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

yep wren, i know all about that. spend an hour on the phone with them and 45 minutes of the conversatio is me saying-*what?*

Clarkson, KY

Ain't that the truth though!!! Nothing like being talked down to in computerese that you don't know you don't understand because yer India English isn't up to par. What's worse is when they figure out you don't understand and start explaining to you...lol. I usually get into it and figure it out about 15 mins into the conversation.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

then wen the problem is solved they keep you on the phone another 30 minutes trying to sell you a warranty when you still have 6 months left on yours.

sorry, i'll stop hi-jacking your thread now

Clarkson, KY

I think this is the 'official' Hijack Thread -Random-R-Us!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

LOL! I agree grow.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow.. that has to be frustrating.. I am so blessed to have my DS to help me. He is 16, builds all our computers, does complete "tech support" too. Although, I'm pretty good on the computer, there are times I'd be lost without him. I should tell him about this.. He does "tech support" on chat rooms for free!

Clarkson, KY

He's the one with the "Chick-On-Head" right?

(Zone 7b)

ZZ could he tell me why my screen saver has never worked on my lap top i got it this year and it worked about 2 months now it comes up and goes off and it says it failed.
I tried up dateing drivers and everthing it really bites not haveing a screensaver and i just put it to sleep which when i do that i lose my signal (wireless)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Yup grow.. he is the one! How cool is that.. Tech support with a chicken head.. LOL

I don't know Harmony.. I'll ask him when he gets home from school. Maby you can email him with the details.. I'll dmail you and let you know.

Clarkson, KY

You know I may not recognize him without the chicken...sad, but true...:-P...

(Zone 7b)

Sure ZZ i would love to get it fixed just holler at me,

(Zone 7b)

Hey ZZ did you forget about me LOL

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

My imagination provides the temptation.... ;-)

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Been so busy, went and met Shelia and Keith and the darlin kids this past weekend. We had so much fun, she loaded me up with eggs to hatch and some laying hens. She is convinced that Okie hens can not lay, well I come home and now that all the Drama is over with here these girls are laying up a storm :) They are doing so much better.

Clarksburg, MO

I think that the air in oklahoma must do something to the hens that causes them not to lay LOL.

Really I do believe that all of the crazy people at Tina's house were causing so much commotion that the hens were stressed and have had a chance to calm down now.

Tina and I had such a wonderful weekend. We talked chickens, quilts and general life. I haven't had that much fun since Jacob's Cave. We really just had a lot of laughs.

She has such a big and giving heart and is truly good people! She brought me a beautiful hummingbird that goes on your window and i just love it.

glad to get a chance to get back on here and hope to talk to you all soon.

Sheila

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Yep we sure did, we plan on going back for the Spring Jacob's Cave.

I think your girls had to teach my girls just what an egg is and how to do it!!!!!!!!

(Zone 7b)

Good Friends (sigh) Warms The Heart^_^

Hens can't handle stress mine get upset if something is going on they can tell you walk and talk different and maybe their routine is different during those times.
During this pox thing i have been so upset i only have 3 hens laying out of 28 maybe we got the same okie air here.
Crazy folks should never be allowed contact with chickens or people LOL

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

No more crazy folk here. They are so happy now. My chickens love me and I love them. While I was mixing up feed this morning it was so comical, they were on top of my head on top of the barrels. My daughter said to add my chickens are my new kids......................DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! They dont talk back

(Zone 7b)

I prefer my chickens to people sometimes i like to get lost in my birds and just be quiet and happy course then i come to the house and look at hungry folks. Mama wheres my pants whens supper will you take me to the store did you mail off the bills and balance the check book.
I feel like walking out the door and never comeing back in LOL
