Well, those rascals arrived early this morning while I was getting ready for work.
I do work from home, but will still not have much time with them until the weekend comes.
I took them upstairs to my office to meet my cockatiel friend Caruso. Caruso DID NOT like them!!
Maybe part of it was that I left their coats on, since they were very cold from riding in the mail truck for so long, and it was raining too.
The Boys arrive in Toronto
On my lunch break I took them out with me and hoped they'd help me spread some more soil in the wildflower garden that I'm building under my backyard trees. But no, they took one look at the holes the squirrels had already dug and were afraid they'd fall in, so they just supervised.
Next May, I'll be out in the woods getting May Apples, Jack-in-the-pulpit, Dog Toothed Violets and such to bring home. I'll get some Trilliums from the plant store, since it's illegal to dig them in the wild.
Good news that they arrived so quickly. For those who want to check back to their previous escapades, check http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/917869/#new
Marilyn - Dave arrive in White Lake and Ottawa with that chip. I had thought of trying to touch it up with a magic marker but didn't get around to it.

I lifted them down out of the planter, and zip . . . they were off and up the wild rose bush trying to sneak some rose hips for a snack.
I told them the rose hips wouldn't taste very good, and besides since they were so small this year I am saving them for Christmas decorations, since they look just about like holly berries.
That's all for today. With the DLST time change, it gets too dark to take any photos and get anywhere at the end of my work day - but I'll see if I can contain them until the weekend, then we;ll go and see some great places.

LOL...they look so cute with their little capes on. Poor little Caruso the cockatiel, though. The fellas probably don't look like anything he's ever seen before. ^_^
We'll be watching, Marilyn.
Great pics Marilyn .. one things for sure .. the Boys will keep ya busy !! ^_^
I also noticed the little 'ching' on Dave's hat as well .. it sorta looked like it had been touched up .. gives the wee chapeau some character ^_^
Enjoy their visit !!

Thanks cybercrone for letting us know the lads have arrived safely in Toronto. I would have thought they would landed in Havelock before Toronto but I know that they will be visiting eventually. Where are they going next? Should I dust the spare room soon? LOL
Have fun with the fellas and I hope that Caruso warms up to your houseguests.
Will be watching their adventures.
Hugs
Elaine and Otis
Hey Elaine:
Havelock is next, so yep, ya better fix up the guest room.
Thanks for the heads up.
Do they have allergies? Any special menu? Any quirks I should know about? Please let me know so I can be a good hostess. Thanks.
Hugs Elaine and Otis
Marilyn
Great Shots of the Boys and I'm glad they are being kept warm.
Does Caruso get out much? If not that is why he's worried about our funny fellas.
Dave had that little chip when he was here too. I figured that his legs were the most important part to fix and then I just got carried away with having fun.
Ann
Elaine:
No special diet that I know of for them, but you'd better stock up on carbs for yourself if you're going to keep up
Ann:
Caruso was great until I had some renovations done, and the noise seemed to affect him even worse than it did me. He's never regained his friendly nature and has become very territorial. Poor boy.
No special diet, but as I recall the pizza at Sandy's place was a hit and they liked the little chocolate mousse cake we had to celebrate Sandy's birthday. :-)
Don't feed them pizza too close to bedtime, though. Moose nightmares are really LOUD! Glad the boys got there swiftly and they are in for another adventure we can all share. Wow - that is one scary pumpkin! Great pics, Marilyn.
Sandy
Bullwinkle LOVES Pumpkin Pie .. and Dave and Happy enjoy a good feed of COOL WHIP LoL
Have fun ^_^

So adorable...hope they are bringing along a suitcase of warm clothes...know it's in double digit temps this week but one never knows what type of attire they will need on their next visit..
Betty - as I recall, you are not so very far down the list. Feel free to dress them up. LOL
Thursday -
The boys made solid friends with Beany-Baby Sam the Parrot - he didn't hiss, and we all went out to listen to the kids playing in the schoolyard and enjoy a few minutes of brilliant sunshine while I was on my coffee break.
The boys wanted to go and play in the schoolyard with the kids, but I had to get back to work.
Hope this weather hangs in . . .
Friday:
Took the boys to Canadian Tire when I went after work to pick up some things I needed.
They asked about the Christmas trees and decorations, and I explained the reason for Christmas, and all about Santa Claus too.
Dave told me that all of them really, really, really, really want to get to talk to Santa.
Next I took the boys down to the beach, confident that in this weather they'd not try to jump in and have to be rescued. The clouds were rolling in, and the wind was picking up. All of the kite boarders were packing up to go home.
Behind the boys is the original Cherry Beach lifeguard station.
They were cold without their coats, so I had to hustle them back inside. Looks as if we may not get a chance to get around too much as the weather is turning nasty.
Next we went down to Tommy Thompson Park, known to the locals as Leslie Spit. This
area has been formed entirely from land fill over the years - broken up roads and bridges - then left to go wild. It is a protected area and has developed a good ecosystem with bugs, amphibians, reptiles and small mammals - even some coyotes. Also, a whoop-load of migrating birds stop here on their trip past.
The boys thought it looked like a great place to run wild, as do my grandsons.
On the way back to the part of the city where there might be some gardens to play in, Bully saw these allotments that are used by apartment people or low-income people to garden. Of course he had to climb the fence to see if he could spy anything to eat.
What is with this kid and food? Maybe he's turning into a teenager? It's not as if I'm starving him . . .
I'm taking the boys to Allan Gardens. It's getting very dark and cool, and starting to rain in earnest, so it will be good to be indoors.
The conservatory is a Victorian building and has had greenhouses added on to it over time. There is also one greenhouse that is just used for school classes to learn about botany, gardening and green things.
The boys stayed in their bag because of the rain. I wasn't sure if they would melt or not.
Entering the Conservatory, we realised we would have to work our way around several wedding parties who were having their pictures taken inside.
Dave and Bully decided to lie down to look at the palm tress overhead, but Jerome thought they were bring foolish.
