Thysanoptera and Thripidae

In order to add a new Order/Family, I have to create an entry for one of its members. Can you give me the genus and species for the creature you want to add to BugFiles and I will then create an entry for it and get the new family going,

Gynaikothrips ficusi

I cannot find that name anywhere on the internet! The nearest I can come up with is the Cuban Laurel Thrip - Gynaikothrips ficorum. Could that be the species you wish to enter?

It is good to get another Order added to BugFiles. You may note that I have put it in the family Phlaeothripidae rather than Thripidae. My research suggests that it is generally considered to be in that family although many web entries still show it in Thripidae.
