I had to try to take many pictures of this butterfly on my trip to Disney World - there are very few butterflies around much less any other insects (I bet it is because they spray a lot - I never got a bite from a mosquitoes despite the huge amount of swamps, canals and lakes around me) - this is the best picture - taken in August - this butterfly is larger than the other yellow sulphurs that I have seen where I live (Minnesota) - is it a sulphur or a Eastern Dogface? Eastern Dogface is yellowish and I hadn't seen one.

we call those skippers around here but i think it's a sulphur.
What's the biggest sulphur in Florida?
i'm not sure. here is a list of sulphurs in florida. i know that one of them has a wingspan of about 2.5". http://www.nsis.org/butterfly/butterfly-species.html
Thanks - it will take time to look through all of those - I think the Clouded is the largest - the butterflies I saw was bigger than alfata butterflies. It's just a gut thing. The butterflies is yellow so all the oranges are eliminated. (I know about the color morphs - I had collected the white morphs of alfata butterflies - look a lot like cabbage butterflies)
