I have until the 1st of Dec. for my next blood panel.
Hope I can make it.
I want candy!!!!
I had the fewest kids ever. Only three came! So much candy left over.
We didn't do the candy thing this year. Usually I'm lazy, we have the porch decorated, and usually there is a bale of hay on either side of the front door with a big giant dough pan, and a sign attacthed that reads, "Free Candy And DON'T BE GREEDY!" I usually buy several bags of everything and load it up...usually someone does get greedy, but it doesn't bother me...lol.
There is one in every bunch.Maybe two.
The "morning after" chat at the sidewalk among the neighbors who get out early was the consensus that there were far fewer kids out this year. We attribute the lower teen numbers to the fact that they probably didn't want to miss the Friday night football game at the high school. We did get several adorable fairy princesses, and our little friend, Sophia (3) had a musical wand she would flourish with vigor to give us magical wishes. I was really into that. It made a fairy dust sound when she waved it in a circle.
I cant help think Halloween has changed over the years.
It used to be more pagan. I don't mean virgin sacrifices like Solstice ,just less harmfull.
We went over our friends house last night where the houses are much closer together, you really have to work for your candy in our development and walk an acre to each house(of course might be better for me to walk off all the candy I ate) My daughter DID NOT want to put on her Cinderella dress, even though she wore it every day since we purchased it, ugh.
Well we walked 4 blocks turned around and came back to their house. It was so nice out those home were sitting on their porches handing their candy out. Every other house was dark and my friends had tons of candy left over after shutting the lights out at 8:30 since not 1 more kid stopped by after 8:15. Down here I think they were all stuck in Philly because of the parade.
Verrrrrrrrrry spooky flowerjen.
we have never gotten any kids
so I wait until today and get what I like (and 1 or 2 for DH) at half price
Great philosophy OwnedbyCats! I like it.
Flowerjen.... is that your place? Or the friends that you went to. It's decorated sooooo well!
Pixie ~ your 'pixie' is adorable! I bet she had a lot of fun!!
We didn't have as many kiddos this year as last, so we have a lot of chocolate to eat for ourselves. Oh yeah ~ twist my arm to do that!
lol
My dd's b'day is in November, so I've always shopped the day after Halloween for birthday candy. We don't celebrate Halloween, so I also buy the day-after stuff for all of us.
That's my friends' house.
