I want candy!!!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Well, that's what we'll be hearing tomorrow.

What kind of candy did you buy for the kiddies?

I bought Kit Kats and Reese's PB Cups......even though we only get about 5 kids :)

and an artist I am not....

No candy--cheese curls & potato chips, in case I have to eat them. Looked for packs of sugar free, but not available in the candy section. DH likes Reese PB, but that is for Christmas stocking.

Notta Nutting Zip Zero. No kids.

Payday and Clark bars. And Tootsie pops.

in the mini bars... I love the milkyway midnights.... they don't sell them (or at least I have never seen them) any other time of the year... I am not a dark chocolate lover but those are good! pretty sad when you see me picking out the ones that came in the mixed bag to make sure I don't give those away... but we have a small bowl for the keep pile with some reeses pb cups and a few Randy likes... only had to give away that bowl once when we ran out of the small bags I make up for the kids

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I like those too, a woman at work gets them in mixed bags and that is what I pick out of her candy dish.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

at least i am not alone!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I bought Reeses mixed bag of minis and a bag of small boxes of DOTS thinking I wasnt fond of them.
Heeeh fooled myself and tasted the DOTS, now I have to keep the bowl out of sight.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Allison & Deb, Milkyway Midnight is my DS Joshua's favorite too. Recently while shopping at Shaw's they had bags of
Milkyway M....not mixed just straight M.M.!!! I bought him 3 bags for his B-day and i'm going to go wipe out the shelf tomorrow.

I bought all mini bars...
Kit-kat
Milkyway
Reeses
M & M's peanut and plain
Almond Joy
Hershey Bar
Snickers

What ever is not given out tonight, the hunters will fill their pockets in the morning.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I like to plan for total consumption so I dont have to steel myself for toolong

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Kids? I bought candy for me! Are we supposed to give it to kids? I thought it was bad for their teeth?

South Hamilton, MA

It is.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

She's too cute!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Jen, she's such a ham! She kept holding up her wand and saying "ook"! (Orryanna talk for 'look') She's just turned 10 months on the 14th and says 'what' and 'No' already too.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Very cute Celeste!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Thanks Deb, I think so! lol

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What a cutie! Just back from trick or treating with the kids. Waiting for the kids to come here now.

I used to hang out at a mini bar. Met lots of cute small women...

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

The Adorable Miss O is stunning in her fairy princess digs, Pixie! She's quite the little lady speaking already. Many of us remember when she was born, so this seems pretty quick for her to be talking! We're expecting tons of little ones for Halloween tonight....Oh, PLEASE take all this candy away from my grasp. I'm chocolated out! I bought the stuff too early and those little tastes are worse for me than a GIANT biggo candy bar that tells me I have had enough! I know I've gained 10 pounds in 3 days!! :(

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

I highly doubt that I'll have any trick or treaters. But, I have a few of those ghostly shaped things that similar to reeces peanut butter cups just in case. If I get more than one or two, well they'll have to settle for granola or fruit! lol

South Hamilton, MA

No customers as yet & 3/4 of an hour to go--glad that we bought the other treats in preference to candy.

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

I have run out of candy. A little early, but at least I made it to 7:30.

And can you believe some dumbass was driving down the street like it was noon? On a suburban residential street on Halloween night (after dark with sidewalks filled)? ggrrrr

Now I get to wait a bit to go bring in some decorations...some rain/snow scheduled tonight and it'll muck up some of the stuff.

I hope it went well for everyone! Happy Halloween!!

South Hamilton, MA

No goblins showed up, so we will be eating 6 packs of Jax & 8 of chips this weekend & next week.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

We had some really cute little goblins, and finally at 9:17, when four kids came, I split up all the rest of the candy and made them take it all so I won't be tempted. I should have bought stuff I don't like.........like candy corn. Next year! It's all gone now. Whew! Happy Halloween, everyone!!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I used to buy stuff I didn't like but it turned out DH liked it. Then I bought stuff he didn't like and he learned to like it. Then my kids got old enough that they thought it was there for them. (On Oct, 28, the first time ever I'm buying candy, you think it's for YOU??) This year we left the lights out and didn't buy any candy and went to DD#2's football game. (Don't say anything, she's a cheerleader!)

South Hamilton, MA

Finally had two come--very polite middle school age girls with their polite golden retriever. I had to apologise for not having any dog treats.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Just about six graders and under.
They came at 6:00PM all from this street with parents.
Little fairies and a wee darthvader, even a spider in a stroller.
The few teenagers we have just waited until dark and whhooped and yelled then drove off.
Probably going for beer and will do "lawn jobs" later.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Gave out the last of the small toys I buy instead of candy about 8. One little girl - maybe three years old - cried because it wasn't candy. LOL.

I would of said BUT - its made with pickle juice.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

totally adorable Pixie... the best ones I saw were a bunch of tweens dressed as all the pooh characters .... totally cute... the 40 small bags I made up were gone in two hours.... and we have 1/2 our reserve bowl left.... had more visitors this year than last.... going to have to bulk up the stock next year since it will be saturday.... all day ... ding dong

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

We had a good group this year but then for once it wasn't 40 below. Lot's of fun costumes but no fairies or pixies :( Thanks for sharing yours Pixie. Fortunately there are still some little chocolate bars left which will be my energy bars for the annual 'spreading of the poop' which I'm working on today. How come the little chocolate bars taste way better than the big ones?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

not sure... but they always do seem to... even after the 20th one

:)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Maybe its because they cost less.
I remember Almond Joys for tencents.
They have gotten smaller inside those large wrappers and the prices have gone way up.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

You can use left over mounds bars baked inside a chocolate cookie, mmm.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

your killing me

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Sorry, I'll bring you one when I bake them for Christmas.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

OMG I am trying to lower my blood sugar.
Doctor threatend to increase insulin if I dont get things under controle.
Insulin makes me gain weight, not what I need, its a catch 22.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

That's why I only said one:-), be good til then!
