seed germination

Louisville, KY(Zone 6a)

Who knows what seeds need special care germination....cold storage primarily?

Clematis...cold treatment
Daylilies....cold treatment unless planted immediately

I have read the thread about the Clematis and fresh seeds...could this be the same as the daylilies...they only need the cold if they aren't fresh??

I would be nice to see a list of seeds and their special needs!

I use this database so much that I saved it to my hard drive and put a shortcut on my desktop. I use it almost everyday lately.

Hey tiG and five..I actually printed this database out, inserted each page into a clear cover and put into a 3 ring notebook. It was a lottttt of printing but it was worth the ink...lol. I reference this database almost daily and...dont laugh...lol..I sometimes read through it when I get a moment's peace around here. I find it handier to have it next to me when I'm starting seeds indoors, sending germination tips with my trade seeds and easier than having to go on the computer just to get information that I need NOW. It's just a thought...

A good thought too. I think I may do that one of these days when I have 'safe' place to keep it!

Great start to a garden Journal! Or personal Encyclopedia of'My Garden'. I stared one of those on the computer of things I have in my yard, complete with pictures. One day...when the weeds take a greatly needed vacation. Ya know they deseve one, they have been working over time here in my little plot of earth!
