Cuttings

Can someone spell out exactly what you need to do to take and ship cuttings. I've been asked for cutting from one of my plants, but the only thing I've done is rooted a broken off piece of a plant. I don't want to mess up if I'm trading with them.

Usually a damp (wrung out, not sopping wet) papertowel wrapped around the cut ends and then enclosing everything in a plastic baggie is good for most cuttings. Succulents should not be enclosed in plastic or wrapped in damp papertowels. Cuts made the same day as you ship adds a little bit more protection as well but the night before is okay too. A good box with some padding aids against bruising but even a bubble wrap envelope with some cardboard inserts may good for a lot of cuttings. Mark the envelope or box with Live plants or fragile and send out as soon as possible.

I'm doing Pineapple Sage and right now it's in bloom, I'm assuming I should wait for the blooms to go away to take cuttings?

You can cut the blooms off and bottom leaves or ship it as is and let the recipient cut them off. Also rinse off any dirt and insects if any are present.
