HTOP, I have a question, If we live in the 8, or 9 zones, does that mean the zones above that mean that anything in the 7 zone and down, will survive? Thanks, Krispi
Fall Blooms & Color, Part 2
Krispi, if you mean winter hardiness, I believe so.
Found it...it is called the heat zone map. http://www.ahs.org/pdfs/05_heat_map.pdf
Take a look and tell me what you think.
Fall to spring for Marguerite Daisy here in FL>
Very pretty winecup! Aren't the fall bloom colors more intense!
I wonder if that is the effect of the moisture received in the hurricane.
So that's why they say the color has "washed out!"
LOL ~ might be. I was thinking of the high salt content in the rain. I read a bit about that and wondered it when the plant drew that moisture it would affect it differently.
That is so interesting. I hadn't heard about the salt content in the rain but it would make sense. During the last two months, we've had perfect rose weather and yet the flushes of blooms that I expected really haven't happened, and the roses that have bloomed haven't been as large as I expected in this weather either. hmmmm...
