I had to share: Plant blogger.

"Blogging plant posts daily news on its mood
A potted plant that posts daily news on its mood and health is believed to be the world's first botanical blogger."

Really! Article and video at the link below.

We knew plants were responsive to all kinds of things, but to me, this is pretty special.

Also makes me appreciate the Japanese cultural view, who else would do this??? I love it. ;-)

That was interesting. Thanks for sharing it. The Japanese always come up with something cool, don't they?

You're welcome. And yes, the Japanese appreciation of plants and gardening always feels somewhat revelatory to me.... thinking now of what little I know of the gardens at Kyoto and the concept of a "mature garden" -- I find this quite appealing, that with enough patience a complex set of relationships can develop among plants, weather, gardeners, reaching a rhythm of maximum sustained harmony..... seems folks with that in their culture are in position to have an idea like the plant blogger.....

musings Sunday afternoon, before going out to spread some manure on a very immature garden where if the plants (foxtail weed seeds trying to sprout out of season) could blog they would say: }}}why the heck does she keep covering us with cardboard and then pouring water???????{{{

Heh.

ciao,
k.
