Someone mentioned to me today that they never prune their holly in the winter...they wait until spring. I have never heard this before so I did some web searches. American Forest.org said the best time is in December when it is dormant as did some other sites. Another site said spring. I have never seen a holly suffer from being cut in December and that happens all over because it is a holiday decoration. Anyone have any pros or cons about this?
