When to cut back Cherry Laurel "otto lucyken"?

I need to cut back my Cherry Laurel but don't know when I should do it. It is blooming now, It is 6 yrs old and I've never trimed it. Thanks

Late spring or early summer is the best time. They respond well to pruning and break from old wood. You can cut branches all the way back to the trunk.
