I was wondering if anyone knows, anything about The Lily Garden closing. I ordered a number of lilies from them months ago & haven't received the bulbs or heard anything from them. I hope not. I've read great reviews about their bulbs on DG.

Is The Lily Garden Closed?
I believe they should start shipping soon. Did you specify a shipping time? They don't send out acknowledgements of orders. They are not closing I am sure! I expect to see Judith this Saturday at our lily society meeting.
I received my order on Friday. I'm in zone 5, so maybe you're next?
Thanks,I specified the time best for my area. I'm so glad to hear that people are receiving their orders. I'm really looking forward to the bulbs I ordered from them. I know this is a very busy time for growers to get their bulbs out and have a very difficult time communicating with customers because all their time is spent getting the orders out.. I wasn't worried until I saw two negative reviews in garden watch dog and The Lily Garden had never received a negative review before.
Thanks once again for you help.
Debbie
I have never ordered ANY lily bulbs before. And I was a little concerned when I didn't get a confirmation. But all arrived and looked great! She even sent a small one in with one I ordered. And there were two in another bag. Hope you're as happy with your order as I am with mine.

I have read the Pacific NW lily crops were not good this year. I got a note from the PNWLS stating that several lilies on the order list were in short supply or unavailable and that there would be no substitutions and refunds would be sent out later. Have yet to receive that or my BuggyCrazy order but I guess for my zone it is still early ;-)
I did get my B&D lily order and I thought the bulbs looked great and most were huge as usual, though some of the Asiatics were much smaller than I have received in the past. I think they had a bad winter/spring up there.
I got the same email, I guess because I ordered a bag of Naomis. Spring arrived throughout the Pacific Northwest rather late this year so perhaps that influenced the size of some of the bulbs.
Steve I have to agree with that statement about the Northwest having a rough growing year. I have heard it from the growers themselves this year. Hopefully the bulb sizes will recover with a nice growing season next year.
Thanks Pard, and howdy Tracey,
I did get some Naomi bulbs from B&D and they were uncharacteristically (for them) tiny - about the size of large marbles - so maybe that variety in particular suffered due to the weather.
I am in Zone 5 and got me Buggycrazy order last week, so yours probably haven't shipped yet. She did send an email when she did ship. I was very happy with size of the bulbs I got from her!! In fact I need to go leave feed back .
Look, B&D is having a "scratch and dent sale" for cosmetically imperfect but still viable bulbs - among them are "Orange Art" and "Naomi" - 6-packs:

Ya had to go and tell us, didn't you now, Steve? Lol! That list is huge. Almost as if a truck tipped over with all of the bulbs in it.
I'll second pard's comment about our late and cold spring-everything has been confused and late out here all year. Mild winter, cold spring-very strange. Luckily, we're having a very nice fall to make up for it-I was NOT ready for summer to end after only two months of warm weather.
augh! sale lilies! nonononono!
Received my very first order from Buggy. I am soooo impressed. If these bulbs are smaller than usual, as her site says, I can't imagine how big Lisa usually grows 'em.
My PNWLS order just came a few minutes ago, and everything looked really nice! I have a separate order coming from Buggycrazy as well and she sent me a notice this AM that it would be shipping shortly and even asked if I was OK with the time (how nice!). I am excited to see what her bulbs will look like based on everyone else's flattering testimony. The PNWLS lilies all look great and while they substituted one variety (I asked them to) they were out of only one, Oklahoma (sniff), so no "Oklahomas" for me this year! (waah). I am really excited about getting everything else in the ground today, however!
I received my orders from the The Lily Garden, Buggy Crazy & The Lily Pad. All looked very good - maybe a little smaller then usual. Sorry to hear that they had a bad growing season. I can't wait to next summer to see the blooms.
Debbie
Steve, My Buggy Crazy order arrived this week and as always, great, big, fat, ones. I couldn't be happier. I can't see that they are smaller than last year's. But Lisa knows her bulbs. I went to the dent sale and did some damage myself. Ouch. Thanks for the heads up. I doubt that I will get any of them as they are most likely long gone. I think I need to join PNWLS as I keep hearing it mentioned. Patti
PNWLS-definitely worth joining! Join us!
I keep lurking on these threads and opening all the pictures...Heaven help, lol! Must agree that Lisa-buggycrazy-is shipping some awesome bulbs. I've just gotten my latest from her and there is decidedly no quality issue..Those things are huge! Thanks for mentioning her...my pocketbook is not so sure though...
Oh, and Happy Birthday, Steve:)

Why thank you Bev and Patti - it was so nice of you to remember, hehehe!
And both of you are right about Buggycrazy. I received and planted her bulbs last weekend and they were unparallelled in size and freshness. And true Patti, though I have never ordered before it is hard to believe the previous year's bulbs would have been bigger. Absolutely amazing and I will be back for more next year. Thanks for the wonderful lily pic wishes!!
^_^
Steve
Whats the deal with the Lily garden. I have not received a order I made months ago. Its is the 16th of November? Is there a Illness or something going on there. I did receive my Pnwls and my prize for winning the Columbia Plat award.
Dennis
Have you tried to contact them directly?
Email is really the best way to reach her, from my experience. Perhaps something got mixed up. I know my order was shipped WITH my PNWLS order.
Magnolia, I heard that your order was a topic of conversation at the packing party. Something about it being the biggest ever or maybe the biggest at a packing party. Something like that. I merely commented that I wasn't a bit surprised!
I take pride giving lilies good homes, even if the homes aren't always mine ;)
We wouldn't want any homeless lilies now, would we!!
Not on my watch. Lol!
Good Lord Mags, how many boxes did you get from them? :) LOL I did a relatively small order, because, once I receive them I have to find room to plant them. :) LOL
I don't remember, maybe it was just one bigger box...but remember...it wasn't all for me, I love sharing! ^_^
