CLOSED: Principal Pollinator

San Andres, Peten, Guatemala

This miniature Bee is one of my principal pollinators but because of it's size goes about it's work unnoticed.
This little guy is tiny, in the photo they are flitting about Coleus flowers. They only settle for a few seconds so are not easy to photograph.
It acts like a Bee, looks like a Bee but is it a Bee as I don't see the usual pollen sacs.

I think I see elbowed antennae which I think puts them in the bee group.

I went searching all the bee groups and narrowed it down to one of the small tropical stingless bees. meliponinae.
Lots of information about the bee but no photos. I finally went to Flickr and found this one, which I think matches.

Getting your ID to a genus is pretty much successful as far as I'm concerned- past that I think it's pretty difficult or impossible with a picture. And that is after the challenge of actually getting the picture!
