I water my stuff to give it a chance to get the roots started but no fertilizer

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

Always water to give it time to root in no matter when you plant. No fertilizer till spring but root stimulant should be acceptable. Tr

uh oh, i watered with a little superthrive & a diluted version of water soluable fertilizer high in phosphorus (15-30-15) to help root development for my transplants - about half the normal dosage of this. hope I didn't hurt anything!!! Any suggestions to help if I messed up?

Granbury, TX(Zone 8a)

I think in our area you are still okay. I use superthrive too and it is hormones and vitamins so it shouldn't hurt anything and the water soluable fertilizers are short lived anyway especially at half strength. I apply them many times to certain plants year round in smaller doses.

phew, i'm glad to hear that. you & others gave me some great stuff and I hate to think I could have done them harm already!

That is always the best time to set out plants, just before nature gives everything a drink. We didn't get any here out of all of that; or not enough to tell. So the sprinklers need to run tonight.

I got one little shower this morning but it didn't even leave anything in the gauge, sure glad I didn't skip the watering yesterday. I started to after looking at the forecast. Sure hope the dry season ends pretty soon. I am really tired of all this watering. Tr
