Not too sure on this one, it is growing wild in the rain forest.

Feel free to tell me what needs correcting, the ipomoea indica I got shots of in Brisbane is a different plant, lighter shade, different foliage:)

do they produce seeds ?
Annette, the same vine can have different foliage. Like philodendrons and syngoniums that have juvenile and adult foliage. A friend gave me a
specimen of indica and it had all heart shaped leaves. After a year it had climbes higher and went to all three lobed leaves. Even the cuttings that I have rooted have not reverted back to the heart shaped leaves. As for different shades, that is also good news. They are so easily rooted, they make ivy look slow. Last week I cut off this nuisance vine on mine, and cut out about 8 cuttings. My cuttings were 2 inches long with a leaf node in the middle. I stuck them all the way to the bottom of a solo cup full of potting media and watered. In 3 days I could see roots going down the inside of the clear solo cup. That was the first time I have ever cut any to root them. I normally layer them and have never had a leaf go yellow. The real trick here is to not wait too long to transplant them. Three vines in a layer is nice, but can be rootbound in your layering cup in three weeks. If you let them get root bound, then water won't go down in when you water.
I would not wait more than two weeks to get them transplanted while the roots are still in an explosive growth period.
Now I hope you make it to that park and bring back some of the other color. The picture you showed above, would be popular here in the USA, because it has a blue star in it. Frank
I did take cuttings of the above indica and have put them in a medium, just waiting for them to strike, shouldnt take long with the high humidity that is here:)
Thanks Everyone for all the advice.
Cheers Annette
