hmmm....wonder how long I can 'milk'it with him? just kidding! he is a real sweetheart and I am truly blessed :) poor guy already went thru the heat stroke scare with me...and now this :(

I say milk it!! your being sick probably hasn't happened many times in your life. women don't usually let themselves heal before they get back to being supermom again. rest, rest, rest. your body has gone thru some traumatic. and they will survive.

and eat lots of chinese egg drop soup. its the next best thing to Mom's old fashioned soup =)

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

lol, thanks nannie... DH & DSS are planting my daylilies for me today :) lol!

gotta think of all the other things that MUST be done before I get better...lolol! you know, all those jobs I dont really wanna do....teehee!

Actually, they have all been really really sweet. My foster daughter called me yesterday and she's coming out to visit. I havent seen her is about 4 months...so there is GOOD that comes in with bad! LOL!

You look after yourself..had no idea you had been ill until your d-mail...
Sending soft hugs and prayers!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL thanks on the 'soft' hugs... DH and I went out last night and met up with a huge group of friends. This was the first time I've left the house since the operation... it was just a short visit about 1 hour long...but my friends are BIG huggers! I spent the entire hour a nervous wreck...dodging hugs and then having to explain over and over again... and then everyone wanted to share their horror stories and well... I think I'll finish my recovery at home :) lol!

I definitely love hugs, but the soft hugs will have to do for a few weeks :)

betty, hope you are feeling better these days?

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

Hope you are feeling better. I just had to fill out a proof of health questionaire to up my life insurance at work and had to tell my apendectomy story. So now thats fresh in my memory so I really feel for you now. One of the hardest things for me was keeping my Boston Terrier from jumping on me while I was sitting on the couch. I used to say even before the surgery that she was going to give me internal injuries. LOL I kept a pillow on my lap at all times when I came home. LOL

Hope Sheldon is happy and feeling olk.

Dropping in to say 'hi'...sure hope you are not over doing...
You can handle the hugs I'm sending, they are ever sooooo soft...

Surgery stories??When I had my appendix out DH gave me a copy of "The Right Stuff" to read.....did good until the scene where one of the guys is in the hospital and is supposed to provide a sample for testing......no luck.....he finally produces "one small, hard little rock" in the cup and the description of him marching down the hall with his little cup, his hospital gown flapping open in back....it had me hysterical...I'd start to laugh which made my stitches hurt, then I'd cry....then I'd laugh.....It was awful, but funny (now).

Hope you and Sheldon are both recouping well!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

thanks all, I've been running a lowgrade fever last night and all day today. so I slept most of the day and now its the middle of the night and I'm wide awake! :(

I wasnt too worried about the fever cause its low grade right now only 99.8 ...but then DH reminded me that the pain meds they have me on have acephet...(sp?) so that may eb whats keeping it low. so, heading in to the docs tomorrow am .
all the incisions are fine,s o I think I just picked up a cold or flu when I was in the hospital :(

(Zone 7a)

I somehow missed this until now. I thought it was funny about your first night out. People always have to tell their stories.

Get better. Let us know what the Dr. says. Sending a gentle hug from Utah.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I just found this too. Praying for a quick healing !!

Cumberland Mtns, TN(Zone 6b)

Anjl, i meant to comment on the MSN thread.....they gave my mom her gallstone or one of the stones. she kept it for years and years. hers was about the size of a english walnut.....i thought it was pretty , but then i'm strange.

if not earrings, lamp pulls or something thats a conversation piece
=D~

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Anjl, I'm just finding this thread. I'm here praying that each new day brings you comfort and healing.

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

Hi All, and thanks for all the well wishes :oD

spent the whole day at Kaiser today :o( running tests and labs and drinking yucky stuff for a cat scan :(

the good news is that the ALT tests results came out better todaythan three days ago, so no issues with the liver.

the bad news is that my white blood cell count is much higher today than before I had the surgery, which means yet another round of antibiotics and eating yucky yogurt :( sis just told me about acidopholus pills I can take instead tho... so going to see if I can find those! although I hate taking any form of pill, its much better than gaggingdown yogurt! lol!

still have a fever, but all the other xrays and labs are good so they are hoping the antibiotics knock out whatever infection is going on.

I really appreciate all the prayers and well wishes :o)

AnjL

Seminole, OK(Zone 7a)

My thoughts and prayers are concentrating on killing your infection. LOL

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

lol ahh that sounds SOOO MURDEROUS! teehee!

Keep on top of that fever. I know we all have horror stories of surgery. With my open heart I was 4 days in the hospital from surgery to home. The gall bladder landed me in the hospital for 19 days! I went septic. Take care of yourself! Thats an order!!
DD

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

lol okay :o)

thanks! I think I will follow that order...just sick of being sick :( and gotta get my bulbs planted before spring!! :o)

morehead, KY(Zone 6a)

You know i was treated for kidney stones for a couple of years before they figured out It was my gall bladder. They just couldn't believe They never could see the kidney stones! Thank god a fresh doctor asked a few questions and said it was gall stones lets take it out!

(AnjL) Fremont, CA(Zone 9b)

I am just really glad they took it out instead of trying to 'treat' me on it! I've heard so many horror stories this week about the treatment process and then enivitably needing to do the surgery.... so glad that parts over :o) just gotta 'murder' this infection and then I can get back to gardening :o)

till then, I guess I'll do co-ops :oD teehee!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Takes time...you must first rest and follow Dr.'s orders...there is always another year for those bulbs...and...you have to be healthy- there's a santa workshop you have to do..lol
