This is a new dbl. pink seedling for this year. It is still early to tell what it is going
to end up looking light. Our nights are getting colder so the color my be lighter than normal. Just thought I would share it.

I hope it pans out for both you and Gary. Congrats. Sure would be nice if we could get seedlings to bloom a little sooner when our seasons are shorter. I have let so many go that didn't make it to bloom. It's just too hard to dig them up and bring them in.
Thanks for shareing her with us I really love dbls.
Congratulations to both of you.Another great double pink.It was only a very few years ago that we had none.
I had a real surprise this morning when I cut into one of the blooms. It has two more fully formed skirts up inside, for a total of 4 skirts. The color was also a little darker this morning.
Patricia, it's beautiful - great job! Hugs, Jo
jerodsmom, is your's that pink? mine is darker, actualy hard to explain the true color. when it first buds it is a light pink with darker splotches.
Yes, I would say it is that pink. The third skirt is at the bottom of the flower now, but I don't think it is going to drop down any further. I am getting ready to dig it and move it to the greenhouse in hopes that i will set buds
again and bloom early winter in there. That is my best time for pollinating.
Love It! i have one that I have grown out of this cross that has to be 10 feet tall but still has not bloomed. I'm sure I'll see something from her this winter.
Four skirts would be great. Nice flower, Patricia. I hope she exceeds all of your expectations.
Well... I looked this way and that.. but no " Y " ..before the bud..
and looked mor..and there it was...all a part of the same part of the plant structure... the " Y " and the bud comming out of the top of it..
So.. I'd heard it had to "Y" first. happen ..but now I think the "Y" and the flower... can happen together..all at once.. in the same leaf division/bloom structure.. infact... here the bud comes out of the crotch formed at the time of the " Y " .. and thus is actually below the " Y "..lower than these limbs...

Hi brugie, good to see you posting, hope things are getting better for you ((())))
Shirley, it is good to see you posting. Hope all is better.
Jerodsmom, that is one beautiful brug! You & Gary have a winner! I have a seedling of this one growing....she's about 1 ft. tall, but no blooms yet.
Thanks...nap times afford me time to play some days.
Gee Patricia, looking at all your seedlings have me getting all lustful about brugs again. LOL. I better go out and get my all my back ups rooted! But not today, about to go for oysters at Hog Island in Tomales Bay. Looks like such a great day for drive along the coast.
Good to see you Kell ! I hope you have a wonderful trip. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do today
Hi back Patricia. Too bad I did not think ahead and plan for a birthday lunch. What did you end up doing?
We had the BEST day. It was so beautiful today. Perfect for a picnic. We had 10 people and a 2 year old to entertain us. She was so cute. Hog Island is on a little cove. Just delightful to sit on the water drinking champagne and eating oysters.
I'm sorry I never made it back to answer Kells post. I ended up spending three hours dusting pollen on all the brugs. that are blooming and then went to a movie. It was a nice relaxing day. And of course kept going out to look at my new brug.
