Stictocardia Tiliifolia

Townsville, Australia(Zone 10a)

This has been a bugger to germinate, had to end up cutting the corner of the seed, this did the trick and now I have 1 seedling on my hand, is anyone else growing this one?, there isnt even a pic in the plantfiles, could go and google but wont know which is which until I see the flowers myself, this is also known here in Oz as Queensland Woodrose, I live in Queensland so had to try it.

My newly hatched baby:))))

Stictocardia tilliifolia is very closely related to Stictocardia campanulata...enough so that botanists studying the 2 different species have often confused the 2...the differences would not be discernible unless the examiner had full grown specimens to compare...

There exists an analogous situation regarding Stictocardia beraviensis and Stictocardia macalusoi and that is why I have (thus far) been unwilling to assign epithets to Stictocardia that are reputed to be any of the 4 species mentioned...

I personally will be more than willing to offer specific ID's when I have enough information to offer ID's with a high degree of accuracy...I'm not interested to compound and / or to perpetuate the amount of confusion that already exists if I cannot clarify it with objective scientific accuracy...

Thanks for sharing your photos...
