Brunfelsia 'Isola'

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Thanks, but they re-seed for me and I give them away.

Miami, FL(Zone 10a)

i love brunfelsia. i have a couple different ones. joan mary i had no idea you could take cuttings. could you show me how you take cuttings sometime? it has been awhile since i have seen your garden.
the monstera you gave me along time ago are huge by the way.

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Candela, nice to hear from you! I bet the Monstera are gigantic! Do you eat the fruit? Its delicious. Poisonous if eaten before its ripe and oh...so debilitating when eaten when over-ripe! Yes, I've certainly had my issues with the fruit! But that does not stop me from eyeing them to see if they are ripe. I took mine out as they were just gigantic, and now have a 'baby' from roots I thought had been eradicated. This time I'll keep it...I think!

How about coming over and I'll show you how to do the air-layering C? I'll not do it but will guide you - this way you'll never forget! As mentioned, 6 weeks later you'll have a mature plant!

A Chinese Proverb:
Tell me, I’ll forget
Show me, I’ll remember
Involve me, I’ll understand.

Dmail me. Mornings are good for me.

How do you knwo when the mostera fruit is ripe? I was told that it turns orange but I've never seen it do that. It seems to stay green forever.

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

The segments of the monstera start falling off when the fruit is ripe. It does not turn orange. Only eat the portion under the segments that have fallen off.

Will it ripen if you remove the fruit from the plant the way a banana will?

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

It will if it is fully developed.
