Beautiful Bluebirds Bathing!

Those are so pretty!!!

This is what it looked like for me, plus add in a couple of white-throated sparrows.

They are in our area year round but I didn't see my first until last year...then I was hooked! They are very addictive!!

Cool shot Mrs. Ed! I tried to get more pics of them bathing today but DH was all over the yard WEARING A WHITE SHIRT!!! Sorry didn't mean to yell...LOL!

22...Ha...I told DH that is a book he could get me for Christmas...hopefully he will read it first! LOL!! I can't complain though as when we are walking he is the one who notices the birds that I would miss!

I was experimenting today and shot this through the window (getting prepared for the cold that will eventually arrive)! He had just checked his nestbox to make sure it was ok!!

Beautiful and clear. You'd never know it was shot through a window, which is testimony to your window cleaning abilities. Can I give you my address?

Ha...thanks Mrs. Ed and Margaret! Thankfully we replaced our windows that can be cleaned from inside...no more falling off ladders!!

Hey guys. Now that I've got the third graders under control, and bird watching out the classroom window, I can spend some time visiting you all. We had bbs in our courtyard this week snacking on bugs in the grass. I was surprised to see the bbs still reproducing in your neighborhood Dell. Very nifty.

OP...it is nice to see you again! The BB's are no longer nesting but are defending their nestbox! They all seem to be into checking it out daily...so cute to watch them.

The meal worms came yesterday and the BB's have found them! I hope to slowly move the feeder closer so I can get some better shots.

Here is one from this afternoon...he was on the bird bath.

I set up another worm feeder closer to the house and they found it right away...such smart little birds!

She was looking down at the above feeder.

I liked the attitude of this little female.

Thanks everyone...the cows and heifers are fun to have around! Unless of course you are hiding out trying to photo birds and don't realize until it is too late that you have just sat in a cow pie! LOL! I was in the woods trying to hide yesterday and this beauty decided to join me and give away my hiding spot!! Little rascal (I mean BIG rascal)!!

Nanny...some people just moved in across the road and are going to milk goats..I can hear the sweet sound of "goat" throughout the day!

Margaret..Dairy cattle are very docile and curious animals. Sometimes a whole group will follow me when I go out birding...they can be a real nuisance and I have to try and hide from them as well as the birds!

Here is a male from this morning..so handsome and blue!
