Seconding the suggestion from Southern Ground Control regarding possible walk outside and including additional suggestion of crossword puzzles, sudoku, a good novel, or other distraction. Burning holes in eggs with magnifying glass is grounds for dismissal from North American hatching crew. That would be bad.

And she spends every waking moment staring intently at eggs 3 days before their hatch date. I shudder to think what her behaviour is like in the supermarket egg and dairy section.

As a critical member of the NPGC, her mental competency is a matter of some concern. At what point is professional intervention mandated?

I would like to see continued photographs of the launch base and containment unit. I think this will evidence mental state and possible delusions. It is possible that she is just a true visionary and the egg staring is a side effect.

Professional intervention mandated when Commander ZZ, a.k.a. Mother Bird, begins any of the following activities:
a) Ignoring food in favor of staring at eggs
b) Ignoring chocolate under any circumstance
c) Sitting on boxes of eggs in grocery store aisle
d) Sprouting feathers
e) Repetitive clucking noises
f) Arranging blankets compulsively in a nesting-like manner
g) Pecking at friends or family members if they reach toward her

Please advise if any of the above occur since we shall call in the medical unit.
