My grandfather found this on one of his citrus trees. A neighbor called it a 'Dog Worm'.

superpepper- I grow patio citrus trees just for these swallowtails. They can and will defoliate your citrus in pots. They are considered a scourge by commercial citrus growers. To me they are worth the defoliation which does not kill the plants, the leaves do grow back. Consider putting out some in pots just for them, thier beauty is worth it. ENJOY THEM!

Thanks for the help! He has been keeping it as a 'pet' and feeding it citrus leaves so he will be happy to know his efforts will pay off.
