american fringe tree help

i purchased a american fringe tree and was told that in order to get the blue friut i would need a male and female.i bought a female,it has lots of fruit.if i need 2 how close would i have to plant to get fruit?

Within 20-30 metres would be fine. They are pollinated by bees.
