Just roosters, please! As some of you read in another thread DH is a glass artist. His next project is going to be a rooster and we'll be looking for good specimens to base the art off of....

My Marans guy is looking great--but I am the poster child for pathetic picture taking. Maybe I can try again tomorrow.

He was on a tie chord because I didn't have a chicken yard at the time. The other chickens were free ranging at the farm but he was a pet so we kept him in the yard on a tie chord and moved him around a lot.

Rankin, IL(Zone 5a)

well now.. whoda thunk to tie out the bird???

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

Tie cord - very cool!

What a gorgeous bird!

I'll have to bring DH in here to see all the pics we've gotten. I think that some of these deeper colored ones are going to be easier for him to depict with glass... we'll see though.

Too cool, thanks everybody!

Wow, these are some BEAUTIFUL roos! I can't even begin to pick favorites, but I think the top contenders include Harmony's lemon blue roo, Silkiechick's porcelain d'uccle, Fran's Twitch, and the Blue Spanish Muff. Although Big John is also very handsome. Wow, I'm all roostered out!
