I found this some months back in my garden but had not posted it here. Found it in my PC and thought I must post to get to know which is this. I doubt this still exists in the garden.
CLOSED: Yellow unusual spider - which is this?
Dinu, that is very like one Australian spider, the Scorpion-tailed Spider (Arachnura higginsi). I searched for Arachnura in India and found that there are two species recorded, but mostly they say just one species, the Scorpion-tailed Spider (Arachnura angura): http://www.indianaturewatch.net/displayimage.php?id=31439
which could well be your spider.
The other species given as occurring in India is the Leaf-mimicking Spider Arachnura melanura: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27432382@N07/2921448567/in/pool-806980@N23

and this seems to have the greenish colour of yours so it also could be your spider,
I lean towards yours being Arachnura melanura
