Found about 5 of these huddled on my Bleeding Heart Clerodendrum. They didn't like having their picture taken and started crawling out of my line of sight. Looks like they may have been munching on the leaves. First time I've seen them here in three years of living here.
Thanks
Molly
CLOSED: Blue and Red Beetle? bugs
These are not leaf munchers, but appear to be nymphs of Euthyrhynchus floridanus, a predatory stink bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Pentaomidae) common in Florida - see http://creatures.ifas.ufl.edu/beneficial/e_floridanus.htm for more information.
Thank you Suunto,
I'm happy to see they are good bug. So pretty and I have some young citrus here that have had orangedog so these bugs can help me control them.
Molly
