Oh my gosh, rosie!!
My sides hurt from laughing! Welcome! You fit right in!!!
Please post often.
What are your plans for the winter???
Hey, Rosie. Welcome to the forum. You'll like it here, please stick around.
Last winter I spent all my time trading seeds and then winter sowing the seeds I traded for and then indoor planting the rest of the seeds. WAY too many seeds and then WAY WAY too many plants. and nothing else accomplished over the winter...seriously.
So this winter I will curb my seed enthusiasm. I would like to do some quilting as I really miss it. And I have a ton of nice garden markers I should have written out this summer so I could find my plants. DH and I like to do jigsaw puzzles, but all tables were full of seeds last winter. Plan for next year's garden to get things straightened out and see what I really need and what I missed this year...where the gaps are. (what fabulous stuff Victor has that I HAVE to have lol)
Willie, I love, love, love your seed list. especially the wildflowers. You should start a thread in the spring and let us know what you get.
I think I will be able to cover you this spring for seedlings, Jan, if you are not going to start any this year. :-)
That is, if you want some of what successfully sprouts and grows. My guess is I will have a plethora to spare, come May.
Also, I am sure I can handle a few more flats (once I finish the greenhouse shuffle). If you have some seeds you might want me to try and start for you, I'd be more than happy to.
I will start a thread for the special wildflower mix come spring, for sure. I am betting a lot of interesting things will pop up!
I can't wait to see Willie!
Welcome rosie! I love your sense of humor!
Winter....hmmmmmm....now what can I say that won't tick everyone off???....hmmmmm....well, after my feet touch the sand in Fla. and after I free Sherrie from the donut wheel well, I will get her settled in and then send her out to weed the gardens that have gone wild since we've been up here all summer and fall. Then, I'll buy some compost and good soil to fill my ceramic planters to plant my winter vegetable crop. Then I'll take Sherrie for a walk down by the River to see what wildlife is currently hanging out there. Then I'll take Sherrie home to prepare our dinner for us (fitting trade-off for a cramped stow-away, huh???) LOL
We've had so much work to do up here this summer with our "This Old Old Old House De- and Re-construction Project", we are just hoping to take it easy and resume a social life with our neighbors in Fla. Isn't this sweet.....a young couple we like a lot has invited us to have Thanksgiving dinner with their family this year. Hank made a pint-sized walking stick for their little 3-year-old last winter, and we had lots of fun with her.
What is "winter" anyway???? LOL (Sorry for being such a smart - a _ _!!)
Louise (he he he)
Hee hee too funny Louise!
Wait a minute Louise..... I said I would stowaway and you would not know it. I would latch onto the bottom frame of your car. I would have steel heels and toe boots. That way I could be dragged like they do in the movies! I could just pop out when we got there :-)
Surprise !!!!

Oh, that changes everything, Sherrie!!! LOL
More room for me in the boot!
I am sure Louise will say yes. That way you can weed, pot the pots, take a walk by the river and make dinner. I will be sitting on the patio with my feet up. Don't forget to take a pillow Will :-) The new boots wont have room for ya. Your head can get cramped in the car in that donut hole !!!
heehee!!
Oh yeah sure rub it in Donnie....well it sounds to me like you have wonderful plans for the winter....wish I could join you LOL!!
Your space is reserved, Willie! Sherrie can use your help with the weeding!! LOL
Think we could drum up enough takers for a winter RU in Fla.???????
oooohhhhh that would be fun
Wouldn't it!!! LOL
Schweet!
Good thing I can cook a thing or two, too, to help work off the boarder fees. (was that enough 2s?)
Can't see there being that many weeds to pull.
Awe .... A field trip to the Florida Gardening Forum ...... Could be a trend starting! Which does sound like a fine idea.
I definitely need to reorganize my craft room!
I love field trips!
Well we just got a bran new mattress set....ok I know this has nothing to do with my room but now I feel like redecorating my bedroom! LOL!!!
