I saw this creature in my bed in September. It was less than a centimeter long... can someone please help me?

This is a young bristletail, a primitive insect in the order Thysanura. Some members of this order (firebrats/silverfish) can be nuisance pests indoors. See http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/621/
