The flowerbud on my baby, tomorrow maybe the day I first get to see its flowers, it is going to be a beauty.
Stictocardia beraviensis in waiting
Annette, did it open for you? I love that color, bet it was a pretty bloom. Hope you post a pic!
well...lovely... congratulations... how old/big is the plant.. I'd really like to see a first flower this year... before it's having to come inside.. no way it's hardy here .. if it is an Afracian plant.. Gordon..
I sowed the seeds about 5 months ago I think, it is full of buds now,
and that's through your winter too ...right..
how hot was it then for you.. they were outside were they...
great fortune there.. but Iguess mine haven't gone 5 months yet at all...thanks for the goal..
Gordon
oh...got a picture of the entire plant for us
Yes during my winter, days were about 20 degrees celcius, nighttime about 10 degrees celcius on average, yes sowed them outdoors and left them to overwinter....
amazing there Annette... do you have a picture of the vine the flower is on..
thanks for the help..
Gordon

Annette - WOW! What an amazing color of bloom! That is really, really pretty! I would love to try some Stictocardia beraviensis seeds here in Florida. The temps here are similar to Africa! If you get any seeds, please keep me in mind for a seed trade! :-)
Gorgeous color....congratulations!
It is a beauty Annette.
OH.Thanks Annette... well it helps me to see the plant also.. it has me thinking I'm over the line and perhaps feeding mine too much.. although.. it's a blooming fertilizer... it ismostly doing alot of vine/leaf work...
I've got a few leaves looking like some of your lower ones.. this one I thought was particularly beautiful... now if they would all be just so artistic.. perhaps I wouldn't mind as much..
thanks for the photo request... fulfillment... Gordon
this is the majority of it...
PleaseAnnette... I'msure Ispeak for afew folks..inasking yu post lots of flower pictures of this one... I'd not be put off seeing each and every one as it comes..

It's the tall bunch.. next to the table...
Gordon
Very artistic touch that leaf, way to go, would have posted pic earlier but as luck would have it came down with a very bad bronchitis last week, meds have now kicked in and I am feeling human again.Lets hope that yours flowers for you soon, just waiting on my Stictocardia Tilliefolia seeds to germinate, will have to go and nick them by the looks to get them going.
Lucky I have a lot of new mgs coming into bud to keep me occupied, not used to waiting for mgs to germinate they seem to do this on their own will........
Gordon your plant sure looks healthy, it is a lot taller than mine and lot fuller, I have 2 plants in the one pot, one plant has flowered the other was a wee bit behind, it has got to be the climate, it does make a difference, fairly new to mgs, so my mind is like a sponge and am absorbing everything:)
I received 3 lots of seeds from South America, large smooth seeds, not sure what mgs they are going to be but I am waiting patiently.
Here is a sneak peak of the first, longated leaves.........
