I found this in south india a month ago. what is this little strange thing? I shot it during the monsoons. I also found it on some leaves later.

It appears to be a small moth, but I have no idea as to its identity. There are books available on these insects, such as "Life-histories Of Indian Microlepidoptera Cosmopterygidae To Neopseustidae" (Author/Editor: T Bainbrigge Fletcher) - see http://www.indianbooks.co.in/books/index.php?productID=87431
