Has anyone been to this sale before? It's a verrrry long drive for me and I was wondering if the prices are worth the gas and pain of driving. If it's regular pricing but more inventory, I'll skip it, as much as I would like to go.

I found myself there the day after a sale. Not much left, but they did have interesting things. Several Salvias I was not familiar with, Carpinteria, and I think I remember a couple of Ceanothus. Prices were okay - but I was not as knowledgeable about rarity and difficulty of cultivation then.

You could make a day of it and visit Theodore Payne Foundation in Sun Valley. I LOVE that place. Such a beautiful demonstration garden, and a great nursery / knowledgeable staff. They also have an extensive native plant seed bank.

Funny to come to the most urbanized County in the State in order to get some native plants!

Yes, and I used to live much nearer, too! I wanted to go to the sale on Saturday, but it's our anniversary and I do have my priorities! I'll probably skip it, as I can visit Tree of Life or Las Pilitas any time. Would hate to drive all that way and not find anything. Keep meaning to go in the Spring, so I can see everything in bloom.
