Year round morning glories ?

Honolulu, HI

Hi, I live in Hawaii where every day is pretty much summer. Can I just keep planting them to keep them growing. Is it best to stay with one kind. I have always used Heavenly Blues. Should I stick to one kind? This is so much fun!!! Thanks for your help

Hi Elsie, what a treat to visit with you all the way over in Hawaii! Heavenly Blue was my first MG and I loved it. Do you grow your vines in containers or in the ground? I would think you'd want to try another one, that is an annual, such as the myriad Japanese morning glories that are bouncing around the MG forum. What color do you like?

Dear Joseph, Thanks so much for your response. I always thought that M.G.s were M.G.s until I joined this web site. It is almost magical. I go back to 4 party lines and crystal radios. I live here with my daughter and her family. He is Air Force so we are here for four years at Hickam AFB. I am from Mass. (Go Red Soxs) I will check out your suggestions and let you know. I may have sent you this reply already.
Regards, Elsie

Hi Elsie! My cousin lives over there, too, in Kihei. If you like these Jamie Lynn MGs, I collected quite a few seeds off my plants this year, if you'd like to try a few. They were open pollinated, so they might not come out looking exactly like this pic. They are one of my favorites.
