I found this strange fly in my garden about 45 days ago during rainy season. This has strange flat reddish eyes unlike regular flies and is very small in size. It was a little smaller than a regular housefly. Can anyone ID this insect?
CLOSED: What kind of fly is this?
I think it's in the family Anthomyiidae, for starters. But I could be way off...

I really couldn't place it in a family for sure, flies can be difficult unless they are very distinctive. Your best bet would be to join diptera.info but without more views of the fly, or a specimen to put under a microscope, you might not get a positive ID.
The wings look like the one fly in Neottiophilidae, the rest of it looks more like a fly in Opomyzidae, look at some other families and you can see a likeness in many families! One for the Dipter experts I think (or not!)
